YG Pave pendant vs Guilloche pendant?

I don't have the pave pendant but it seems to be the easiest to wear and will last the test of time. Even the back of the pendant has a nice design that I've heard can be worn front-facing for a different look.

Guilloche is a fine choice for earrings! We all need to start somewhere  And you will probably collect more in the future. Are you not planning on anymore VCA earrings?

I'm already making a list, but I want to approach each purchase with the goal of maximizing usage and making sure the items will coordinate down the road and that I won't get tired of them. I didn't know that about the back of the pave pendant! Good to know!

It's not a common practice (wearing the back of the pave pendant in the front) and not the intended look but *some* people do it. Didn't want you to think it was designed to be truly reversible.

Thanks! This is what I'm wondering about - hammered vs guilloche. Also, both mix with pave, but would either hammered or guilloche mix with a MOP pendant?

Hammered mixes better with all the stones including MOP, IMO, because they are all more casual. As far as I am concerned, guilloche and pave are more dressy and go together better. Pave can go with anything as several of the bracelets combine stones with pave (and there is a guilloche pave bracelet, too). Hammered yg earrings would go with any stone pendants with the yg setting and chain. Very good to get something in the solid gold to mix and match.

The back of the pave pieces is well done, but I would not wear it that way. It's not meant to be reversible. It just helps that it looks nice because the bracelet motifs inevitably will flip.

Thank you for your input! I'll probably get much more use out of a more casual piece, so I'm considering exchanging the guilloche for the hammered earrings. I'm totally overthinking all of this, but I don't want to regret my choice later. The guilloche earrings are supposed to arrive today, and I'm totally expecting to fall i love with them when I see them in person. . .

There's nothing wrong with having more than one pair of yg earrings! I'd like to have one more casual and one more dressy. In fact, I am deliberating that very thing right now. I want the pave yg, but would I wear them enough to justify buying them??? I do love them more than the ones that cost less than a third of the price, of course!!!

Of course! I would rather not start out with the intention of getting another yg earring - at least for a while. I wish I could make decisions easily and confidently! Perfectionist problems - sigh!

Thanks! I am thinking they go with everything, right? Do you have other VCA?
I posted a family pic in the corresponding thread. I have a small collection: Perlee signature ring, Vintage MOP 5-motif bracelet, Vintage MOP pendant, Vintage onyx earrings, and now Guilloche earrings. I hope to get more! And yes, I find the prices easy to mix and match.
