YG or WG

Which do you prefer, yellow or white gold? I have always been a yellow person because I am very fair and thought white looked funny on me. I recently found a diamond anniversary ring I liked the design of, but it only came in white. I got it, but now I'm not so sure.

That's a toughie. I like both, though I think yellow gold looks better on me. If you aren't sure now, then return it and get what you want in yellow gold!

I prefer white gold if it's a setting for solitaire diamonds. Usually for diamond clusters, or small diamonds, I prefer rose gold, then yellow.

I usually wear WG/silver in the summer with PHW handbags/shoes and YG in the winter with GHW handbags/shoes. This way I recycle all the jewelry and handbags and seem to get more wear out of everything. Go figure!!!

I'm blond and fair and I like YG. The only white thing I have is my SS watch, which took some getting used to, but now I love it.

Yellow appeals to me more because it doesn't have plating that will wear off. I'm too finicky about things like that.

I wear both. My wedding set is yg. I have an 3 stone band that I wear on my right hand that is wg. I have a DBTY necklace that is mostly wg with 4 yg stations that have yellow diamonds in them. When I wear that necklace, I sometimes wear my wg diamond studs, and other times wear my funky yg hoops. Lots of mixing.

I have both yg and wg depending on the style. With diamonds, it is always with wg.

Here are some pics- not so great, of my wedding ring (I wear it alone-I was told it is a stand alone piece) and my new ring for our anniversary. I plan on wearing it on my right hand ring finger. I am also including a picture of the first ring I got, but returned. I thought it was just a little busy-plus the new one has more diamonds and was on sale for a little less. -OOPS! uploaded in wrong order- look right to left. Opinions?

Yellow or rose for me. White gold will just wear away in due time to expose the yellow gold beneath it. When white gold is not cleaned, it just looks like sterling to me.

I prefer yellow-gold or rose-gold because it looks better on my fair skin. I'm not a WG type of girl.

I'm a WG girl for sure. It's a curse because it's harder to find purses with WG hardware and I HAVE to match my metals.

I have always preferred the yellow gold over the white gold because I think the white gold looks alot like sterling silver and I am not a big fan of silver.

YG for me, but lately, I've been attracted to emeralds, surrounded by dimaonds and white gold. I think wg goes better with emeralds.
