I like all precious metals too, each one suits different styles but one of the only regrets I've had jewellery buying was choosing WG over YG for a great pair of multi-gem earrings, though that was a while ago, now I know better ;).

As HM already said, gold is yellow. 'Naturally' the yellower, the higher carat it appears. The other colours come about from coating it or mixing other strongly coloured metals. I think that 'natural' yellow gold is beautiful, literally the beauty of gold, especially if the wearer has warm or even neutral skin-tones. A few years ago I went through a phase of no gem stones and instead concentrated on amazing pieces of yellow gold-only pieces, I think I get less bored with (Y) gold-only pieces.

I also think yellow gold is timeless and classy, but I really dislike how it looks on me. I'm extremely fair, natural redhead, green eyes and pink undertones. In fact my hair faded so much it went out of the red spectrum and more into the yellowy blonde, and it totally clashed with my skin!!

I'm a lover of rose gold. Not because it's in fashion or anything, I just love the colour. I get super excited when I see something in it as opposed to yellow or white :)

A pic of both yellow and rose on me (dark room with flash so the yellow doesn't look as cold as it normally does.)

LOL you just described me to a T - green eyes, very pale skin with a pink cast, red hair [except my hair darkened to an almost auburn] and I look great in yellow gold. I'm a fall, I thought most natural redheads were and that's why I think I can wear it. Just posted my picture above your post! Can't see your picture for some reason though :(, would love to see it! I have been considering a rose gold ring but have never tried any so not sure how it would work with my skin tone.

I think they both look great. Love rose gold also. Prefer yellow. Will definitely get some rose pieces.
