Yellow gold and fair skin...

Wow :) We have a lot of fair skinned ladies on here. I suppose I will just have to try it out. I'm wondering if my skin tone isn't changing as I get older and maybe that's why I'm starting to rethink yellow gold...

I think we appreciate more beauties as we get older. I used to only like white gold/platinum. I started yellow gold only last year. It's better that we like more colors now so that we can have more variety in our accessories.

Depends on what you like and what goes well with your type-personality-wardrobe. I am fair and switched to white gold for a few years, I am back to yellow 14/18kt, not 22 as too yellow, and I love it again!

YG is a classic. It left for a while and everyone jumped on the WG bandwagon. My family has always worn YG, so I grew up with that. I was buying tons of WG and a few years ago got back into YG.
I think it also depends on the style of the jewelry, what stone if there is one. Some stones look better with white metals, some with gold and some look great with pink or rose.
I am glad to see some fair ladies liking YG, it looks soo good!

I am also so happy to see YG making a comeback. When I got engaged in 2000, NOBODY was doing YG engagement rings. It was kind of tough for me to stick to my guns, but now I'm so glad I did.

I'm pretty fair and warm toned, but I tan very easily. I have a gold ring that my mom gave me in Jr. High. I never wore it because I thought it looked old fashioned, but recently I decided to try it on and I was amazed by how pretty it looked with my skin. :) I'm now shopping for a yellow gold engagement ring. :)

My skin is fair (think Scandinavian, and I'm using MACs foundations in NC20), and I prefer YG with my skin tone, but I do wear white metal jewelry as well.

On the pic below, you can see how YG and platinum works with my skin tone

Personally, i prefer Yellow Gold or Rose Gold to White Gold. 14k - 18k gold pieces look better as they are not that rich toned compared to 20k, 22k or 24k. For a start, perhaps you can try some 18k pieces, 14k is abit too light & dull for yellow gold after wearing them for a while. Gold are always in trend...hahaha

well i have both yellow and whote gold but i just cant stop loving yellow gold i have a very fair skin cause i have albiansim and i think yellow gold give fairer skinned people some tone!
