Wrong CC turn lock on my first classic flap???

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting a topic so excuse me if I'm not doing it the right way.. still trying to figure out how this website works.. :shame::shame:

Yesterday I bought my first Chanel classic flap (medium/large) at the Chanel boutique in Amsterdam.. When I unboxed my bag something seemed off with the CC turn lock.. It looks a bit thinner and bigger than what i've seen on other medium chanel bags.. I took some pictures with the medium flap and the jumbo back in january.. Surprisingly when I compared these pictures to my current bag, I noticed that my CC turn lock on my current medium bag looks a lot like the ones that come on the Jumbo classic flaps..

Do you guys see what I mean with the thinner/slightly bigger CC turn lock and do you guys have any pictures maybe of your medium flap bags so I can compare them to mine? Is it even possible that they may have made a mistake by putting a CC turn lock for jumbo bags on a medium bag?

I hope I'm not going crazy haha because I swear I can see a difference.. what do you guys think.. please help me out.. Sorry for the long story.. thanks all! :hugs:

Ahh thanks for your quick reply! :D I'm happy to hear that you're seeing the difference too.. I thought i was going crazy haha.. My bf just took a look at my bag and at the pictures.. he saw the difference too.. i wonder if it's a mistake, or are they making the newer bags like this? does anyone know? TIA!

I know that throughout history they've changed the CC's slightly here and there. If you're concerned Id call the boutique and ask of bring them both in and see what they say

Yes you're definitely right about the small changes here and there.. only thing is I've seen the medium bags in the boutique (other colors etc) and they all had the regular CC turn lock.. so thats why I'm a bit confused.. but you're right I will check with the boutique this Tuesday and see what they say.. Thanks so much for your help :amuse:

Oh wow. There is DEFINITELY. Difference


+ 1---The area where your CC link is looks larger too, wonder if they changed turn lock to fill up the leather space??? Bag is still pretty though, but I prefer the other style.

I also see a clear difference between the bags..

But I am more surprises that you were able to get a classic flap in amsterdam last friday, so do you perhaps know if they have other classic flaps in stock?

Totally agree! I immediately saw that too.. So weird.. I like the other one better too to be honest.. And everyone else seems to have the normal CC turn lock.. so im starting to think that they really put the wrong CC turn lock on this bag.. I wonder if they're going to exchange it.. I bought it friday and unboxed it today :sad::shucks:
