IGI is not trustworthy.

Too bad it is an IGI stone but it could be amazing! I wish I could see it in person. I've been researching a lot about diamond grading and when a stone can only get a good or below cut grade from the GIA, a lot of jewelers will send it to IGI. Also if the stone has poor polish and symm jewlers will send it to IGI. I also learned though that the trend is AGA (i think that's right) is surpassing GIA in cut grading. Apparently they are supposed to be the best for grading cut. I thought that was interesting. I also find it interesting that jewelers will choose their graders based on how they think the stone will be graded, to get the best stats.

Well in my opinion, the fact that Costco couldn't get more than one is a TOTAL fail. Lol! It is the bulk store...

Well, Costco does have an excellent return/refund policy.

I suppose you could buy it & have it graded by GIA etc....& if it falls below standards, take it back & stock up some bulk items instead LOL

Of course I had to go and take a look at this beauty on the Costco website and it does come with a GIA cert as well.

The GIA certification states the diamond is IF, D color and excellent cut.
