Would you rather buy a real LOVE BRACELET, DIAMOND-PAVED vs custom love bracelet paved?

Would you rather spend $42,000 or $15,000?

From what I have seen the resale market for these bracelets exists but is fairly flooded with inventory, so the likelihood of being able to resell easily is pretty low anyways. So why not customize and have something unique to you! I probably wouldn’t bother just having it customized to look like an existing Cartier piece though, if I’m doing something custom I want it to be really unique to me. I love the idea of “Cartier x me”! If I’m customizing something like that I won’t be planning to ever resell it, and there wouldn’t be any need for Cartier to touch it as the customization jeweller can care for it.

I've seen people do this with watches by adding diamonds to the bezel, which voids the warranty or after-care from the watch manufacturer. Better to buy a separate pave bangle.

I would not, but I would not purchase “the real deal” either. To me Cartier’s love design with distinct motif (bangle or cuff) is the OG piece even though it’s just a rolled bar of gold with impressed motif. This is what I wanted.

I would ask my jeweller to make a similar design with diamonds and not custom bedazzle my expensive Love. I would also not give a “…” what people thought of me should I choose to add diamonds to my Love. And you shouldn’t either :D

What everyone else said, and in addition the paved Cartier Love is a totally different piece from the regular gold or gold+4/10 diamond ones. The paved one is thicker, has a hinge on one side and a button plus safety clasp on the other. Not remotely close to the regular Love’s.
