Yes: He is Chevre de Coromandel in Chocolat. :faint:

I technically have had to lead an ascetic H life since my piggy bank deceased from money starvation. So decided to let him go.

If one of you lovely tPFers take him home, please show him off with many pics!!! :graucho:

I have been struggling to find a work bag for everyday use. I wanted to refrain from Birkin for its high profile. Also, I wanted a bag that was more subtle and understated. I finally decided on white bus, but am having a hard time choosing the leather and color. I always thought I would choose black because it is a color that i can match easily and carry everyday without making everybody notice that I am carrying the same bag every day. However, I have found Christine Lagarde carrying a brown white bus, and it is just stunning. Could you help me identify which leather and what color her bag is? I was thinking Barenia fauve but I am not sure.. Do you think her bag is a little too casual? I mean, there is no doubt it looks stunning, but for ordinary people and for everyday use, I am afraid it could look too casual. (I've read somewhere that many people consider barenia to be too casual.. at the same time, i also find it very classic..) Also, do you have any recommendation on classic/elegant leather and color for white bus? I will be carrying apple macbook pro in it, which is quite heavy.. so i guess i want the leather that does not slouch. Fyi, I wear formal attire to work every day. Thank you!

I'm not an expert about H but I do think these were made in Barenia. I don't have an answer to your other question either so I'm no help what so ever. I just wanted to say that I'm loving the bag in the pictures above. So nice!!! Makes me want the exact same one although I don't really have a use for it. Thanks for the eye candy. Good luck.

Hi Ashleyjahn,

That's the White Bus Up (the north-south version) and it does look like Fauve Barenia. The only thing I would say about this as a work bag is that it will get marked and scratched and it won't look "new" per se, and that in combination with the white stitching could look casual.
You'll find the White Bus at resale also in chèvre and box, both of which can look very professional in a corporate setting. I know it was made in Noir, Cocoan, Chocolat, and Raisin and I am sure many other colors that don't come to mind immediately. All of these would be great office neutrals. Hope that is of some help.
