Only you know that. There are 40 year olds I wouldn't trust with a nice peice of jewelry. Maturity does not always equal age.
i have to agree with everyone, it depends on the girl. I think it's a great gift, but only if it's taken care of. I have a 21 year old niece that i'm holding a vintage ring for. She's not getting it for a while. Too immature! I also have a 55 year old friend that loses every piece of jewelry she has bought.
Not "because it's a DY" and I was trying to teach her brands and luxury items... I feel like it's WAY too young for that... but if it's a pretty bracelet you really think she'd like (not "Your first David Yurman you're better than other kids now!"), and she'd take care of it, sure!
