Thank you everyone for your advice! I've requested for a brand new piece, and told my SA I'd wait as long as it takes! Oh well at least the waiting will put me off purchasing from VCA for a while.

This experience has truly made me more wary of purchasing pieces sight unseen. My heart really sank when I opened the box. Truly the most disappointing luxury shopping experience of my life!
