save: Didn't you get the first one (Desert in Walnut) and then return it because of guilt? Are you considering going back to buy it again? I'm a bit confused between what you posted here and the other thread. I think you should get the one you like better. What others like or don't like will make little difference because it's you who would own it and carry it.

The walnut bag is a more matte leather than the Astor. I think if you're hard on your bags you may have a problem with this soft leather. The Astor leather is kind of coated--not shiny but not soft and matte like the desert satchel. So I don't think that's such a good way to compare.
