Sorry if I sound rude but it seems to me you still have doubts about your purchase? Then I'd say just wait for the bag to arrive, try it on and if what others say still bugs you, you can return the bag and wait it out for a bit.
I had my doubt too when I bought the original Alexa (the one with thinner leather than the latest batch that couldn't hold its shape when left standing without stuffings - it just fell in a heap while I prefer bags with a bit more structure - like the current Alexas on their website). It was in 2014 and it cost about £550 at Bicester Village, so it was also discounted. I thought at that time too that it was overpriced, so I returned it. There were absolutely no external pressure.
Three years later, I saw the Darley and the Lily and fell in love, but could only afford one. After much pondering, I picked the large Darley, paid full price and walked out of the store. The bag still stays with me till this day, and every time someone asks me how much I bought it for, I said I got it for £50 from a charity shop. I think that took care of it. No one judged my choice, and I got to enjoy the bag without feeling bad about spending such a huge amount (if I have to be brutally honest, I still think Mulberry bags are expensive and you will hardly ever make back what you spend selling a Mulberry). However, the bag has a sentimental value to me, and its style is very British, which I like, so I don't care much about the price now.
All in all I still think and understand that what others say may affect us in one way or the other, but I believe that once you find a bag that you simple love to own and wear (even if not for a long long time), you'll find ways to shut out external pressure and judgement
