My SA and I want the same bag, a k25 in craie (I don’t know how to feel about this lol). She wants one for her milestone birthday. She has a b30 already. She’s married with two kids. She said it’s especially hard for them to get a bag in store because stock is limited even for them. She’s going to Paris during her birthday month in hopes of getting a k25. I’m pretty sure I remember her saying she has to go there and try to get an appointment/bag like us!

I’ve seen some SAs in my local store have Evelyn pms on. My SA also mentioned she got a love bracelet for her bday last year. So, they do get luxury items! She also always has on a different h scarf every time I visit the store!

Wow! H runs a tight ship..

From what I understand they can wear a few borrowed H items from the employee clothing stash while working daily, most notably scarves. They do often seem to have Evelyne TPMs instead of the standard employee H Bag, so this may be an option as well.

My SA told me that they’re actually not allowed to buy quota bags from the boutique that they work for

Wow reading about how much the H SAs are underpaid (relative to the level of service they give, etc) is sad to me. Of all of the different companies you could be an SA for, the commission seems lower and the "work" seems way more involved (the inventory is lower, they have limited supply to actually make commission off of, less sporadic walk-ins/one-time clients, etc). The customers also seem like the most high maintenance of any other designer.

Given the billions (billions!) that Hermes makes every year in revenue, and how their artisans aren't paid a ton either, this makes me really depressed. Without the artisans and the SAs I don't think this brand would be what it is today... I don't know why I thought that they treated their SAs better than houses like Prada/Celine/Chanel, when it seems like it's probably not any better.

I hope in higher cost of living cities they earn a little bit more, but somehow I fear this is not the case. :(

Makes sense! She’s never mentioned trying to get a bag from the boutique which would mean we aren’t competing for a bag lol. Thanks! She’s going to Paris again this year to try for a bag.
My former SA (no longer with H) wanted a non quota bag in Paris. She didn't get leather appointment but was happy to buy and save on fj. For bag she said she just walked over and splurged at Chanel instead LOL

I asked my SA about this once (a few years ago) and I don’t remember what she said about their standard employee discount but she did tell me they get to shop a heavily discounted selection of items once a year. Like an annual employee sale. It’s made up of items that have either been discontinued or deemed nonsalable or both.

Early this year in the US, SAs with more than 5 years, received an email where they were offered to purchase 1 Birkin. The program has been put on hold for now, I can’t recall the reason the reason why.
In the past, they have been allowed to purchase Kelly’s, it required seniority. There is an approval process in place that goes from SM to Coorperate, it also requires x amount of years working at H and some prefer to not even bother as it won’t get approved. Most of the time the justification is that there isn’t enough bags for clients.

... sorry, what is FJ?

I just looked it up on Urban Dictionary and I really don't think their definition is accurate for what you wrote lol.

My SM told me the same. She can’t get one either. :wtf:
Mine got one for his wife. But he has seniority and it had to be approved from higher ups. He said there is no way a super popular size or model would be approved, like a size 25 or a mini, and I believe him.

@protein_ , FJ is fine jewelry (gold, diamonds. Not silver as far as I know)

Yes earlier this year there was an employee sale of Bs and Ks for staff of 5+ year seniority. In the US at least. No one knows if/when it will be offered again.

Happy for them to have these opportunities!

From what my SA told me it seems like there's a bag specific sale. The Kelly sale and birkin sale would be separate and these only happens once in a blue moon. Prior to this year, the previous birkin sale was almost 10 years ago.
