Work bag / garden party maybe?

+1 for backpack (especially if you have a big clunky laptop) but my Neverfull handles a Macbook OK too and I do that sometimes. I like Tumi backpacks. I put a photo of my model below, which they don't sell anymore but it's along the same lines as the links at bottom. The Saffiano-ish leather is very light and durable, plus it has a handle strap in the back that makes traveling super convenient. I use it sometimes on vacation even, since they all come with a lock.

What backpack would you recommend? To be most practical, I think backpack is the way to go but I’m worried that it’s not as presentable for some days where you’ve to transition day to night and client meetings. Let me know!
I use a Want les Essentiels backpack for work. It looks as chic and professional as a backpack can IMO. Lo & Sons also make good backpacks.

If you don’t do a back pack, a GP 36 is fabulous. I have several and love the functionality and that they under the radar. The canvas lining makes them very light but you do need to be careful with the interior.

Always love a garden party! It’s so chic and understated. It can transition well from work to casual and vice versa. However, I don’t know your carrying preferences but from my experience GP is handheld or crook of the arm kinda handbag. It can be shoulder carried but it’s a bit iffy.

I used to always use a B35 or Celine luggage or phantom for when I need a laptop in meetings but it’s impossible when I need two free hands. I also tried Goyard St. Louis and Louis Vuitton Neverfull but I don’t this those are designed to carry that much weight. So if I may suggest what best worked for me, was a Givenchy Antigona medium and a large Saint Laurent Sac de Jour. They’re both chic, elegant, edgy, practical, versatile, and understated. The only drawback’s the weight but the pros of it make up for the heaviness. So good luck finding your perfect work bag!

GP 36
Vache Country leather

I have one in black with a fun (quadrige) lining. Just used it yesterday while in court. Very under the radar which I really like for my court days.

I have its sister in Bambou  this variation with the printed lining.

OP I have a 13 MB but mine's old and too heavy for any designer bag. Make sure your laptop goes in a padded case first and do up the sides of the GP.

LOVE Bambou, almost got this exact bag, but thought Noir would blend in better for my professional purposes. The Bambou version is gorgeous!!!

I’ve been dreaming of a Bambou B30, but alas, the stars have not aligned yet and may never. The closest I got was the verso version with the caramel interior last fall.....but I strongly dislike the caramel interior so passed. ☹️

and I almost bought the black but I have a Double Sens noir/Etain :ghi5: . All the colours were great, it was hard to choose I'm not an Etoupe or an orange d'H person but they were also very nice.

I tried using a tote-like bag with no shoulder strap for awhile for work and my arm was about to fall off. Probably because I don’t work out my arms too much. Now I’m gonna try using a Constance which has good shoulder strap length and carry laptop in other hand. If you work out your arms, you’re probably ok with no strap
