I believe so !Thank you both. That’s what I was guessing. A nod to the past, but also the future as they are the names of William’s two oldest. Is that a King Charles’s spaniel in Charlotte’s portrait?![]()

That’s fabulous ! My daughter was also very privileged to have access to royal archives in writing her book. Does your interest in royalty come from your son or the other way round ? I know I now find it really difficult to enjoy a novel, she has brought out the historian in me too lolThat's great!
My son is also familiar with these paintings : he's an art historian and has been several times at Windsor, Buck House and other royal residences to study the Royal Collection.
Well, I'm half English, born and brought up in London and Sussex and my mother's family have always been royalists, so I grew up with it. My son went to the Courtauld Institute in London and after he graduated he has worked in various museums, in London and for the last 15 years in NYC, first at the Met and now at the Frick Collection. So his main interest is art and he has access to a lot of wonderful collections which are not always open to the pubblic. That’s fabulous !
