I think if you are not using it you should sell it to buy a bag you will use. What is the point of having it just to look at it and not use, especially if it is uncomfortable…. I guess unless you can find a different function for it? Are there other bags or items that you are interested in?

Right, that is the point! I do like other bags. But if I let it go now, I won't be able to acquire it again easily. That's why I am hesitant.

That you are even thinking about re-acquiring it in the future, means you really like it. It is ok to just adore a bag as an artform, assuming you have the space and can spare the funds.

Are you going to reveal what bag? Dying of curiosity!

It is my beautiful LV BTP kirigami pochette, I used the big one only once. It doesn't feel comfortable to carry and only fit bare essentials.
I bought an insert and clear bag to play around with these 3, just never want to take them out. Maybe it is freezing cold outside.

If I sell them, I want to fund a speedy B 20 monogram, but it seems never available online:sad:

My husband said that I will always want new bags, but if I really like this one, then keep it.

In the past I did have the mentality of keeping a bag or a pair of shoes because they were beautiful, like a piece of art, even if they were uncomfortable or I barely used them.
However, I found out that I am not the type of person who likes collecting anything, even if they are on display. Even when I had limited edition pieces. Maybe I would keep it if the Creative Director or maker personally signed it, but that would have more sentimental value than just being pretty.
Even when I enjoyed the presence of an item in my home that was not being use, it would eventually get to me and I either would make a decision to use it or sell it.

But this really depends on how you view your items and what they mean to you. Some people are collectors and just owning the pieces give them enough justification and happiness to keep them even if they don't use them. Others are more utilitarian and don't see a purpose for their bags/shoes/etc. unless they are used.

Hope this gives you some food for thought! Good luck!

Thanks for your thoughtful opinions

I am so not a collecter, as I don't like too much stuff cluttering my house. They drain up my energy.
The more I have, the more stressed I am. I think I should let it go.

I agree to let it go to fund a bag that you will use and enjoy. Stuff can get overwhelming, it's true, and it's good to have a change anyway, at times, and I think if it's crossed your mind to sell now that it'll go at some point in the future anyway.

I also agree with keeping some lovely things but, as with you, it gets stressful to have too much. We actually really need very little.
