:cool:Thank you my dear for your kind information. I went to the one on Grant Ave.. The SA sucks. I even haven't finished my questions and she said: NO BIRKINS, and NO Kellys. Very rude. Not a pleasant experience at all. I then ended up purchasing some Chanel bags at Stanford Shopping Center. The Chanel SA there is so nice. His name is Raymond. Okay, this went to far. I think the only chances for me are going back to tourist places like Hawaii or Guam to find the bags.

Sorry for your disappointing experience at our SF H store. I agree with everyone else, the SAs there can be something else, though I am very fond of my SA. While I exchange pleasantries with them all, I will only work with her because the others tend to drive me nuts with the hot-and-cold attitude and refusal to do any work to locate items, etc. I do think that both Tony and Megan are also helpful and very good.

I think one of the problems with the store is that we do have so many tourists, many of whom march in and first thing ask for Birkins. I spend a lot of time in there and honestly, I have been frustrated by it myself. One can almost see them coming and I have never seen one be successful. I think part of the problem is that the SF SAs do so well with the high volume of tourists that they can barely be bothered cultivating repeat customers from the area!

I hope you find the bag of your dreams soon!!

Hard to say. Three years ago I looked into ordering a Birkin from SF and the SF SA was very helpful and I was told it would take about six months to fulfill the order, but this is dated info and I don't know what their ordering policy is now.

I'm partial to buying new from the boutique and the SF store usually has at least one fabulous bag (Birkin, Kelly or others in hard to find sizes and colors) a week, but they sell quickly. Other than frequently visiting the store (recommended practice for all H stores), it is challenging to find the desired item.

Otherwise, I highly recommend Wall Street H. I had the most amazing experience there - private room and Birkins & HACs in boxes brought to me- and the SAs there were friendly and eager to help. I suggest ordering from that store the next time you are in NYC. It's my personal fav next to Vegas and SF.

I actually saw a birkin on the shelf last Saturday when I went in at 10 am but it was an impossible bag for me. Sanguine with a White base and interior! Totally gorgeous but also very difficult to maintain. Sad to walk away but I am going to wait for what I want. Service was pretty good. SA was very willing to show me other things.

Bagfreak, SF should be terrific in May. Tony is a wonderful SA (he's also a manager) and can work miracles. I've gone in, asked for something (he was busy with another client) and the other SA told me they were sold out. When Tony became free and came to say hi, I told him to call when the item came in. He asked me to wait a minute while he checked something and sure enough, he came with the item. Remember, the other SA said they were out.
Anyway, he's the BEST!!!! With inventory, I guess it depends. Sometimes I see birkins on the shelf and other times like before christmas they were totally depleted. Have fun in SF, and bring home lots of orange souvenirs.

Wow, from what I've read, Tony seems like a wonderful guy. Will definitely look for him on my next trip to SF. Thank you for the info good life :smile1:;)!!
