^^ oh my thank you so much. I'll put my bag into it's dust cover and I already had my h in the original boxes in my carry on.

ill be sure to post how I go when I'm home

ok I'm at the GDN. I allowed 1 hour to get here when it took 25 min and another hour for the tax thingy that was over in 20 min, now I have ages to hang around but i rather that than have to rush. I only waited in line for about 10 min to get the forms stamped and then another 10 for the refund. o got cash back for all my purchases including Chanel. but was told for my Hermes refund I have to post the forms back to Hermes in Paris now that customs have stamped it and they will credit my cc. anyone had that before????

I put all of my purchases on credit card so I had to post all of my refunds including Hermes. The refunds took from around 5-10 weeks for all of my stuff to get credited back to my card. I hope this helps.

Thanks for quick response. Does anyone have experience that the customs officials ask to see your entire itinerary - that is, the tickets coming in to EU and leaving the EU? The last time the customs lady at Amsterdam airport demanded for my return tickets as she was not convinced that I'm bringing the items home. Now, I am working in Brussels and I go back to Singapore only once a year, I'm not sure if it would be a problem since I came back in Nov last year and will go back in 2 months' time. Can someone share your experiences please? Thank you.

You have to show that you are a RESIDENT outide of the EU.

You are supposed to pay VAT in your country of residence . Whatever your nationality.

Examples :
-a french citizen RESIDENT outside EU is entittled to tax refund for a purchase at H in France or anywhere in the EU.
-a brazilian citizen RESIDENT in Italy is not eligible for tax refund for a purchase in France. Would be elligible for Tax refund for a purchse in Brazil ! or in Singapore...anywhere outside the EU actually.

The goods have to leave the country of purchase within 90 of date of purchase. Otherwise you won't get any refund.

I had to show my boarding pass at CDG to get the stamp on the tax refund form. But I think this is a bit random ..... depending on the agent.

In my experience H in France only refund on a credit card, so yes you have to mail it back to Hermes.

I had to show my boarding pass today at GDN hth
