I think ladies and gentlemen who appreciate design and good quality will want to own a Coach item and include it among their collections. Coach is not like other brands, Coach to me is the stepping stone towards other luxury brands.

My first Coach was a 2002 black medium ergo zip, purchased by me FP as a reward for a 4.0 in college. I had gone back to college in my late 20s and felt pretty proud of myself for getting a straight A that semester. I carried that as my only bag for over 4 years. When I finished college, I got a job in my field and when I got my Christmas bonus, I went to the Coach Outlet and bought a burgundy suede Soho hobo (2006) and my mother in law a Chelsea hobo and matching wallet. I still have both the Ergo zip and the Soho hobo and love them both. Of course, I have many other Coach bag aquired over the years (mostly second hand from local stores and the 'Bay). I love my Coach bags! I also love how they hold up to a busy lifestyle and I am not afraid to carry them running around with my two active boys.

I have been a handbag junkie my entire life. I remember being a little girl and my favorite time of year was Easter because I always got a new purse and glove set for my Easter dress (anybody else remember these little sets from Kmart?). I got my first job at 15. I saved to buy my first "designer" bag, Liz Claiborne. I dreamed of Coach bags, but they were out of reach for me then but I swore I'd have one some day. In college, I discovered a Coach outlet store on my drive back to my hometown. It was heaven (although 6 hours away)! I splurged and purchased my first work tote/briefcase (black Mercer business tote - I still have it). I bought (and resold) many bags along the way. I remember (and still have) my very first full price Coach store purchase - a Hamptons Pool Blue Hobo. I bought the matching wristlet and butterfly fob. The Lucky Style Guide came out that year, and my bag was on the cover (so I bought that, too).

Over the years, I've dabbled in other bag brands - Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, LV, Chanel, etc... But I always come back to Coach. The leather is beautiful, and in my experience, I've found it to be more durable than many of the higher end brands I've tried. Coach bags I've had for years (or I bought 2nd hand and restored) are still beautiful and perfectly wearable all these years later.

So, that's my Coach story. I'm happy to report that I have 2 Coach outlets within an hour of me now, although my budget would argue that might not be the best thing! :)
