Who wears their expensive watch in the pool/ocean

Curious if anyone wears their expensive watches in the water? I recently received my first and only Rolex which is a lady datejust with diamond dial and diamond bezel and have been hesitant about wearing it in the water. Constantly checking the crown to make sure it's water tight.

If it's water resistant enough I would.

I do!!!! I never take off my rolex. See my avatar- I was wearing it at the pool with my kids last summer That's what it's made for!! Enjoy and wear with confidence!

I have lady datejust and wear it to the beach and in pool and ocean for swimming and snorkeling without problem. Not for diving though.

I do ! But only cause it is water proof to like 10 M or whatever it says on the back other wise I wouldn't .. I mainly like for keeping track of time which is what a watch is for ha ha [emoji6][emoji106]🏻[emoji41][emoji16]

I do. They are meant to be worn IMO, all material things should be used and loved but of course cared for too.

It depends of course on if it is a watch designed to be a piece of precious jewelry like a De Grisgono allegra watch filled with precious gems.

If yours is new, it should be fine. If not new, you can have it water pressure-tested for water resistance. The word "Oyster" in the Rolex official name for it is a clue!

I don't just for the reason I get sunscreen and sand all over it.

I'd get a "beater," a lightweight watch like a Timex or Casio on a nylon or rubber strap, for situations like this.
