Who remembers this bag from SATC: The Movie?

Ewww that’s the neon noir monogram motard firebird. At one point in time I was obsessed with the Richard Prince version, it reminded me of rainbow sorbet for some reason.

I loved the show and recently binge-watched on the weekend that they showed it on E!
I never realized how whiny Carrie could be and still I loved her. There were times I yelled at the TV at her “WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Say goodbye to Aidan and stop wearing the ring around your neck”!!!!
I loved all of the characters for different reasons. I especially loved the weekly opportunity to see new bags and pray that somehow they’d end up in my closet....

I love the show and I love both movies. To this day, I will watch them whenever I can. This LV bag has never been one of my favorites but it was a special gift to Louise and seemed to make her very happy! I also remember the fake Fendi, and how Carrie and Samantha traveled out to the Valley to get one and then Carrie changed her mind. And how about the episode where Samantha used Lucy Liu's name to score a red Birkin, and then Lucy kept it?

Yes! One thing that always confused me was Carrie's finances. She seemed to have a lot more money than a lot of them (or seemed to spend a lot more on shoes, clothing and bags than the rest)

That bag was as fugs as fugs gets. I love how the Instagram account everyoutfitonsatc described it. Tried to edit out the more profane words below (not sure they’re allowed on tpf)!View attachment 4693217
I don't know if I agree with that. Just because Carrie always had her own sense of style. It was never normal or classic. This purse is not my cup off tea but I can imagine Carrie seeing this, loving it and buying it for her assistant. I see the the speedy as too tame for Carrie, so it will never cross her mind to buy that for anyone else. It just doesn't speak to her. I still love the Sprouse collection.

And it would be a lot less fun to watch if Carrie didn't have so much disposable income. In my mind she just has different priorities. Just like the Vogue she bought from her last money, just because it fed her more. Maybe skipping on food because there is always somebody else who's paying? You almost never see her pick up a check. She lives fashion while the rest just breathes it. All of the episiodes with the Russian are my favorite just because her outfits were just so next level. No more thrift shop chique.

I think that Carrie never saved her money. When she had to buy back her apartment from Aidan and went to see a financial person, she had zero money. Big offered to help and wrote her a check that she tore up and ended taking charlottes diamond ring from Tiffany’s.

Ahhhh yes. I remember she got annoyed with Charlotte when she initially wasn’t going to lend her the money :annoyed:
