White or Yellow Gold?

I can't choose because I love them both. I love the icy look of the white metal, and I love the rich look of the yellow.

I know it's so hard.... I think too that when I'm tan, the white gold looks really good with my skintone. I'm liking the diamonds in white gold more and more... never had platinum.

How fun! My first name is actually Leslie, but my middle name is Lee so I just doubled that part. BTW, I have a sister named Lisa too!

White gold. I prefer silver metals to gold ones, so I'll pick white gold nearly every time.

For years I wore only yellow gold, then I realized that white gold/platinum/silver look better with the colors of clothing that look best on me. So I've switched to platinum for anything new, but still love my yellow gold jewelry. I just wish that yellow gold looked better with the colors I wear.

LvnMyLVs, hello.....I wear both 18K yellow and platinum and some of my pieces are a mix of both.

My most recent project has been the reset of one of my stones into a handmade 18K shank and plat prong mount.

I don't think I have anymore white gold pieces at this point having preferred the plat for some time now.

Admittedly, plat is hard to keep shiney.....but if you decide to go for white gold do use platinum prongs as they are more pliable, less brittle and seem to hold the stones more securely.

barcreperie, I've noticed that as I am older, my skin has changed:shame: and my hair, of course, and the white metals look better against my face.

My poor yellow gold earrings and I just don't 'get along' anymore and I seem to reach for the more flattering white metal earrings now.

It's all personal choice and circumstance, for sure!
