I have an off white Wera Stockholm tote. I was really sceptical at first, because I am a klutz and always spilling things or getting dirt, mud or slush on myself and my stuff. I got the bag at such an awesome price that I just had to go for it, and I've found a light bag made in a durable leather that's well treated can take a whole heap of slush, muddy water and coke.

I tend to carry the bag in a dry weather, regardless of seasons. It's a very practical bag and easily organized, I've used it for school, work and travel.

You can definitely wear it all year round. White is a neutral, unless perhaps you live in a more conservative city/state where the old fashion rules are taken more seriously. I live in Seattle, and white easily works all year. However, when I visit relatives in the South, it does seem that the "no white after Labor Day" still applies.
My best advice is to buy a pack of Magic Erasers, because I have had lots of issues with color transfer and my white bags getting smudge marks. Amazon and Costco sell multi packs of them :)

Here it is!!

A got a Marni Trunk in medium size.

I went for "the middle" option of a grey bag!

They didn't have an all white Trunk bag in store anyway...

And I was VERY tempted to buy the (larger) black one!

Took me forever to decide!!!!!! XD

But I went for the lighter option.

I'm still "afraid" of colour transfer in the future... but a lot of ppl recommended just wiping it down after every use.. So I'll definitely stick with that!

This is very pretty!! I used to be afraid of light colored bags, but I have overcome that now. There are types of leather that are dirt magnets, but there are also those that are very easy to manage.

Enjoy using your pretty bag!!

Hi, that's a beautiful colour. Congrats. The trunk is a fabulous bag. I have it in black and it's so easy to use. Enjoy!

Colour is so stunning. It isnt that light you should be fine :) enjoy!!

Gorgeous bag! Congrats!

Also, if you regularly condition it, color transfer is less likely and easier to clean should it occur. I'm terribly mindless when wearing my bags, so I make a conscious effort to take care of them otherwise. It helps tremendously.

Thank you all!
Yes, as soon as I get back home (and have all my leather care stuff by me) I will turn to condition it first. I'm always totally mindless with black bags. I slather the leather conditioning gel on it and it's done!!
Might rubbing in a little inner corner with this one first. Just in case...
But the leather already is soooo smooth/velvety and seems to be "coated" in some sorts.
But since it's so organisable and roomy, I might as well carry a small pack of wipes with me ;)

I [emoji173]️ my avatar bag. The black-and-white combo is striking, and the black back makes it relatively worry-free, while the white front turns heads :).

I also love gray and gold as a combo. Two bags I have and use often are a gray Celine Blade and a concrete Proenza Schouler PS1 (pics attached).

Doongee, your gray Marni gray trunk bag is gorgeous! I have the trunk bag in black and love it!

Serenitynow, I love your avatar bag, too!!! :) I have a thing for black and white....

In fact, OP, I have two black and white bags - and one of them is mostly white (well, "ivory"). Before I started to use it, I sprayed it with a leather stain/water repellent and let it dry completely. I am careful around dark denim, of course, as others have mentioned, but...

I think Erma Bombeck's quote (at the bottom of my signature) sums up my philosophy. Life is way too short to choose things based on worries about something getting soiled/etc. Get the colors you love in life. (The Marni gray that you chose is stunning, by the way! Congrats!)

At the end of the day, I don't think any of us are going to lay around and think, "I really wish I hadn't purchased that beautiful (insert color) handbag." :D
