I went to Cartier the other day and the SA told me I shouldn’t sleep with it on? But I did read a lot os posts here that say you should not take it off all the time. So confused now :/
That's so interesting, because I purchased the small with diamonds yesterday, and the SA told me that she recommends taking it off as little as possible - even sleeping with it. She told me that she rarely hears of any negative issues with the small, and that Cartier will provide help at no charge if it gets bent. She has a long history with Cartier, so I figured she knew what she was talking about!

My SA said she did NOT recommend sleeping in it- who knows! Would you mind showing a pic of your new bracelet?! Congrats!

Mgoch: I can't post pic right now, but I just posted it yesterday to the "with or without diamonds" thread. That's so funny, the different advice! I don't think I'll be sleeping in mine, personally. I can see it getting caught on something.

Ah- I already commented- it looks SO GOOD! At least if you're close to a boutique they'll take care of it for you if something happens. Gosh that RG is so pretty- I just cannot make a decision!

Wow! I tried on both the reg JUC and small but went with the reg because my SA said they had several complaints of bending and that most of their current stock of the small JUC were returns. I really loved the look of the small but I was too worried about bending since I plan on wearing it with my love 24/7. Now I’m wondering if I should pick up a small with diamonds someday anyway.

I'm reading so much about the small JUC bending and the fact that it's hollow are both really putting me off it. I'm really disappointed that Cartier would even make a hollow piece
You are reading about it bending on PF? I don’t know, my SA mentioned one case where a woman somehow (!!!) got it caught in a car door. She said that they fixed it with no issues, and that she hadn’t seen this be an issue in her time there. I guess people that plan to wear thin pieces 24/7 should go with more, shall we say, “robust” pieces. I personally would not wear regular JUC all of the time, but some people here say that they do. I would absolutely agree that hollow pieces may not be for everyone though.

I bought the slim first and then bought the regular. Debating whether to keep my slim, as it bent out of shape and had to be repaired. My SA was great but I definitely don’t think I’d repurchase this or recommend it. The regular is so much better despite the massive price difference. I will say that Tiffany also has the wire bracelet so I think brands want to get more customers in this way.

Possibly. To me it’s not so much the price difference between the small and regular as it is that I have small wrists and hands so, regular JUC is a bit too bold for me. I haven’t ruled it out though, since recently trying it on and liking it more than I thought. I just prefer dainty jewelry.

Yes on here and i heard about it somewhere else. I'm more shocked that cartier would even consider making something hollow. I shop at cartier for quality not to get a bargain. Unless there is a reason behind it being hollow that i'm missing i think it's appalling.
I'm not a jeweller so maybe there is a logical reason behind it being hollow but personally i don't see how . I wish they would stick with solid pieces. If it were solid i would 100% buy it

I would imagine it has to do with the design. A solid gold bracelet would likely not be flexible in the way this bracelet needs to be in order to get it on and off.

Ahh ok so this makes sense . The mechanism is not the same as the solid one.
I really love the look of both sizes but i wear my jewellery 24/7 and worry i'd squash it in my sleep

There's no mechanism. You give it a gentle twist and it pops on. So there has to be flexibility. I don't want to sleep with it because it seems obvious that a nail design would catch on something -- whether small or regular size.
