Hi girls, after starting the thread for round vs baroque shape pearls, I am starting this new one. OK: which color South Sea pearls do you prefer: white, golden or black Tahitians?

White.
Black can be okay, but too me Golden can look as if they are really old and not well cared for.
I don't know, it's just something I used to think as a little girl and my granny had loads of white pearls so they always win imo.

I have a black pearl necklace that I wear SO MUCH. I never expected I wuld wear it so often. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! White is very traditional, but I like wearing my black pearls because they are so unique and a little less, I don't know, 'stuffy' isn't exactly the word I am going for (because I love white pearls too). I guess the black pearls feel a bit more casual-appropriate to me.

Golden - for it's rich colour! White, pink and golden are more valuable than gray, green counterparts. Of course round is rare compared to baroque.

I have a soft spot for baroque teal blue tahitians, but for a strand of South Sea pearls, I would choose white (although they are much more expensive). I like golden for pendants, but not as much for strands.
