Which would you get as a 1st VCA piece?

My first was the 2016 holiday pendant (onyx) followed by the rose gold single motif pendant like 2 weeks later lol. Working in a hospital means necklaces and earrings are a better investment for me. The onyx pendant and the all gold pendant are very durable, which fits my lifestyle best.

Personally, I think the bracelet is so nice and voted for that, because I wear bracelets more often. And also because I remove my jewelry every day when I get home.

MOP is a bit higher maintenance than some other stones, especially on a bracelet. If you want to play around with the brand, I might go with the pendant, since it’s also less money.

Does anyone know if I can do bracelet shortening through online ordering? My closest VCA is inside the Neiman Marcus in San Francisco and I’m limiting going out and interacting with others due to the new covid variants

Yes, I am in the bay area as well and I can't believe we don't have an actual store in Palo Alto or Valley Fair. Thanks for letting me know where ours is. So I am wanting to begin a VCA collection and hands down love the MOP! I voted for the bracelet first and then the necklace because that's what I would do. Please share an update with your purchase when you get it!

Between the two, I would get the bracelet. I read in a different thread that another TPF member sometimes used a non VCA chain to extend the bracelet into a necklace under a collared shirt. I thought that was a clever idea since that allows you to wear it two ways. However, I’m not personally a fan of pendants, and my first ns only VCA piece so far is the six motif necklace.

I voted the bracelet which is exactly what I got for my first piece just last weekend

I love it and actually have not taken it off (it's carnelian) and so far so good!

I'd get the bracelet, as I do a lot of speaking in my work, and often my neck is covered up by the clothing I'm required to wear so no-go on the necklace. I bought two sweets to stack for nicer occasions.

I have primarily collected Cartier, Dior, and random individual designers for fine jewelry and am considering expanding my collecting into VCA. Which would you pick to start?

Go for the necklace. It's lower maintenance than the bracelet and you literally put it on and forget about it.

Catching up on this thread lol. I see that I voted here for the bracelet but ended up getting the pendant first! I felt that I already had other bracelets and rings so I needed to get the pendant first. Then the plan is for the bracelet

Mine was a necklace (Magic MOP) as it was more of a statement piece and I wear necklaces all the time. Bracelet came shortly thereafter!!! After I got the necklace, I NEEDED the bracelet

Haha, don't forget the earrings, my mostly used VCA pieces. I love Magic Alhambra pendants (my favorite), but I noticed that I have been wearing more Holiday pendants in the COVID Era. I've been dressing a lot more casually.

LOL - almost bought the earrings today but ended up spending elsewhere My holiday (I only have one) is my everyday pendant, esp now that I almost never leave the house!

I have 8 vca pieces including 6 motif necklace, a 10 motif necklace and the perlee clover ring but no bracelets so I voted for the pendant necklace of course.
