I'd say the love.

I really think ceramic watches are going to be out of style by 2025 and if you look at estate Chanel watches they usually go for under $1000.

Agreed.

I think Cartier would hold it's value more in the future because of the name, the style, and just because of the material (gold value). You would have potential resale capabilities based on any 1 of those factors, put them all together and I would think it would make the better investment.

That being said, I would definitely buy what you would use more. It's pointless to buy something that would sit around and not get worn. Would you wear either of them very much considering you already have 2 of both?

Stophle - You make very good points. I'm 100% NOT getting a 3rd J12! That would be quite excessive. Sometimes I think I should take advantage of the Cartier red card. As I mentioned in a previous thread, it can only be used until the end of 2010. That is with the 12 months and zero interest. Beginning 2011, the terms will not be as good and it will be more difficult (for me) to make a large purchase. So sometimes I contemplate getting a YG bangle. I don't know if I'd mix and match my Loves bracelets or alternate them. But I do think if I ever plan on another one, I better do it by Dec.31st!

Buying clothing can definitely get expensive, with very little future value. While owning a j12 or Love can actually become small down payment on a car.

Hokaplan: I think the Love Bracelet be higher in value, as it is just classic.

Its never good to purchase things based on future value imo. Just buy what you love.

With regards to the question - I have both and I think the love will be worth more, but who cares as long as you love what you own. Just imo.

the terms on your current card is great. when i bought my love bracelet, i inquired about their red card but was told that they are negotiating with a new lender to handle the accounts which means red card applications won't be available till september. i couldn't wait even though a 12 month interest free deal sounds great. if i was in your position and i wasn't saving up for anything, i think i would have picked up the love bracelet AND the trinity ring with one band of diamonds. GORGEOUS ring.

So are you saying that there are no more new applications being accepted for their current red card? One SA told me that the card could only be used through this September. But two other SAs told me they would allow purchases to be made through December. I will call later and check. Perhaps they are letting current card holders use them and are not distributing any more.

as of july 27 when i bought my love bracelet and inquired about the red card, the s.a. said applications will not be offered. he said applications will be available in september with their new lender.
