I own all 3 that you are considering. Lotus is incredibly comfortable and while some consider this a dressy earring I wear it very casually. Of the 3, I wear this the most. Frivole is next most often worn. Wonderful presence on the ear and also extremely comfortable. I love frivole so much I am considering the same earring in a larger size as a pave SO perhaps in YG or PG, to get an even more powerful bling from this design- similar in size to the large YG non pave frivole which I also own. The Magic is my least worn as it is heavier and I have to remember to put on the stickers to give me the more secure, proper angle placement for this earring. This takes an extra step and is really the only reason I do not wear them more, I often am in such a rush.
I bought the frivole first, then lotus about a year later and added the magic last. I would buy all three again in a heartbeat. So, don't agonize too much, you are likely to add more than one from your list as the years go by and inventory becomes more available.

Hi! You've gotten great advice, and I will share mine.
I have the WG Frivole pave and the Lotus pave earrings and the matching BTF rings, also in WG.

First, if you want diamond pave, my suggestion is to get it in WG. There is nothing like the sparkle of WG (or platinum) against diamonds. YG or PG tint the diamonds ever so slightly, and the eye now has to compete with the metal setting. With WG, the white metal takes a back seat, and all you see is the sparkly diamond bling.

That said, which earrings...
The WG Frivole pave is my favorite. I love the three dimensional design, and the flower just pops on the ears. It sits beautifully. It's a gorgeous earring.

I find my Lotus earrings boring. The Lotus earring worn alone is plain, like any “multi-petal diamond flower" earring design. I only wear my Lotus earrings to match my Lotus ring. As for how it shows on the ear, I find it flat. My ear piercing is low, and then Lotus earrings definitely sit lower on me than the Frivole.

I wear both Frivole and Lotus very casually, with shorts/jeans, etc and I do not find them dressy at all.

On Alhambra pave...
I tried the Vintage Allhambra pave and found them neither here nor there. They are not true blingy pave as there is too much metal. Because there is so much metal, it looks more like a metal four-leaf clover earring to me with a few melee diamonds so one can say it's a "diamond earring." Hence, I did not purchase these earrings, and I thought for sure I wanted them (to match a Clover bangle). But nope, I am not a fan of VA pave earrings.

On Magic Alhambra pave earrings…
This is a bold and beautiful look. It definitely pops. The downside to this earring for me is that it is very logo-y as in "look at me wearing my jumbo Alhambra." I honestly equate it to wearing jumbo Chanel CC earrings. There is no design; it’s a flat, jumbo four leaf clover, so it's about wearing the brand name. I know there are folks who love the Magic Pave Alhambra because it screams logo which perfectly fine as that is their look, and Magic is definitely a logo look. Everyone has a jewelry look.

I think you have to ask yourself and answer honestly why you love a jewelry piece... for the design? for the brand logo impact? Are you out to impress yourself? Impress others? There is no wrong answer, but it makes a difference in what you buy and love.

Look at the piece and pretend this is from Macy's or a department storen and see how you feel about it then.
For me, Frivole is stunning, a true work of art. No logo theme. Most people have no idea about VCA anyway, but the Frivole design speaks for itself.

It’s all preference here, so be sure you ask yourself “why” you love the piece.
The "why" is key because that's what will give you an ear to ear grin when you wear it.
We share our opinions, but it's just that, an opinion. You are the one who will end up wearing it.

To summarize my thoughts...
If you want an artistic piece of pave jewelry, Frivole is it.
If you want a simple plain flower diamond earring, Lotus is it.
If you want to scream VCA, Magic Alhambra is it.

I would also think if you plan to purchase any other pieces in the collection. I do not think Frivole and Lotus go well together as Frivole has rounded three dimensional flowers vs. Lotus which has pointy tipped flowers. If you you plan to purchase either the Frivole BTF ring or the Lotus BTF ring (or matching necklaces), I would get the earrings to match. I have both these rings and do not mix & match with the earrings. I purchased my Frivole BTF ring first, loved it, so I purchased the earrings to match. I then purchased the Lotus ring, loved it, and I thought I could just wear the Frivole earrings. It did not look great to me, so while I did not like the Lotus earrings worn alone, they match the ring perfectly which I love.

Here is an old photo I previously posted so you can see the sets together. Perhaps this will help in your decision.
Both are gorgeous, but Frivole has my heart. Frivole is just stunning.

Hope this helps and congrats on your future earrings!

Thanks for your reply. It’s really helpful to know how the earrings feel when worn from someone who has all 3 and is able to compare them.

Thank you for your thoughtful and kind response. I do appreciate all of the comments which I’ve received. VCA white gold pave is so sparkly and beautiful. It’s really helpful that you mentioned the matching rings. That’s something that I really have to consider. At this moment, I really like the lotus ring more than the frivole ring. But, I am also leaning towards the frivole earrings over the lotus earrings as most ladies pointed out that it’s simply stunning. I do agree with you that the ring and earrings look better as a matching set. I’m going to make a mental note to try the earrings with the rings to see which ones I prefer.

One of our members @jp824 has both the lotus and frivole pave rings and mentions that she loves the lotus more but finds the frivole easier for every day. I think that her observation may hold true for earrings as well, and that white gold metal with pave tends to be a bit more dressy, and the frivole in pink gold more casual and especially beautiful. . .

I believe @BigAkoya and @eternallove4bag discussed frivole versus lotus here (more in terms of ring sets) https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/new-thin-perlee-clover.1039578/page-23
And @Lien also has both or all three. . . @Notorious Pink has a lot of good ideas re VCA and she also owns pascual bruni. . .

Perhaps also browse the action thread if you do not get more responses here

That’s good to hear . I hope VCA’s production picks up soon .
Yes try PB and let us know . If you have neiman’s they will price match saks and PB is always included with saks promos .
I’ve seen bruni rosegold in person but have to see their white gold .

Here’s Amal Clooney and Zendaya wearing a white gold Ring !
I think Michelle O. is rosegold? Im not sure !

And another one wearing white gold earring ! QUOTE="littlecollector, post: 35449570, member: 439790"]
I heard that the London Flagship boutique had a pair of pink frivole earrings in October. It’s probably sold by now. Really hard to get hold of.

Lots of ladies recommended Pasquale Bruni, who makes gorgeous earrings. I’m going to make a mental note to try the bruni earrings if I get the chance.

Better late than never! I have Michelle *****’s ring (it’s the pg version ~ you can tell because it as champagne diamonds in the middle and white ones on the edges) and I love it; very comfortable on the hand, and blingy. The thing about this shape is that I think it goes with all of the above: lotus, frivole or Alhambra. But if you’re set on a VCA ring, of course then the point is moot.

As always, this all depends on your personal taste, how you wear your hair, and your style. I have the pave sapphire frivole and it’s gorgeous, but for me it’s a small, everyday earring. But with my hair and style, anything smaller would be lost on me. If you love big and blingy, I would go for the Magic Alhambra. I agree with @BigAkoya that the lotus is more edgy, frivole is feminine and Magic is blingtime.

Please keep us posted on what you decide!

I own the Lotus earrings. I like them precisely for the reason @BigAkoya doesn’t. I like the fact that the design is not in your face so to speak. It pairs nicely with all my with gold and platinum jewelry regardless whether it’s VCA or not. So to me, they are very versatile. I can dress them up or wear with jeans. I feel I always look polished when I wear them. For close to $20K, you want to be sure you can get some real use out of them.

I also like wearing striking necklaces and bracelets, so earrings that sit back work better.

ETA: I love and respect BigAkoya’s style. My style runs in a different direction.

I totally agree! :drinks: I LOVE mine, they are gorgeous and I feel like I can wear them with anything!
