Which Watch?

I'm not a fan of leather straps. And the big face of the rolex may overwhelm your tiny wrists. It's really a men's watch. (I know..a lot of women like it too.)

Have you looked at the Cartier line? How about this watch?

You could wear it for casual, dressy events, etc. It could be worn tight or loose. I prefer it loose like a bracelet. Just opening your options..

Great suggestion! The thing is I have a lot of friends that have the watch (I guess it proves how beautiful and popular it is!).

Seems like the Rolex is everyone's favourite-that and the IWC!

I'm still waiting to hear back from my watch-guy about the prices and availability of these watches so I'll keep you all posted!

Thank you so much for helping me choose! :smile1:

Tough one. IWC would be my choice, just because the combination of rg and black dial+ brown strap is stunning. I like the Cartier too I've many people wearing it and looks really classy. Good luck!

IWC by far. Stunning. I bought the Portuguese (white/black leather) as a DH gift last year and he's lucky the strap is too large for me or I'd be wearing it half the time. Stunning classic watch.

But I have to caveat that I feel both Rolex and Cartier watches are overplayed and am not really a fan of their brands.

I own a Rolex ladies datejust becuase my wrists are tiny, but if I can rock a 40mm, I would pick the IWC hands down. I love IWC and I had purchased 2 IWCs for my hubby, the Portuguese Chronograph is one of them. It's a beautiful watch and he receives compliments on that watch all the time.

I agree! My husband also has a Portuguese and it is a beautiful watch. I would not be able to wear it either, but I think it is a wonderful watch if you can pull it off as a lady.

Since you mentioned you attend lots of evening events, I think it would be a better idea to get a dressier elegant watch instead of a sporty looking men's size. I would go for variety. So Rolex Datejust Midsize is a good alternative.

I like the Panerai you posted. If that is the one you already own then I like the Rolex. If not, I like that Panerai

I own it already. I like the idea of maybe going for something smaller and dressier since the Panerai is already my 'sporty watch'. I'm gonna take a look at everyone's suggestions soon! I'm heading to Tokyo tomorrow so watch-hunting will have to be put on hold for a few days.

Thanks again for everyone's input! :smile1:

I would go for the rolex, but I have to say it's just slightly over the iwc. My husband also has a iwc portuguse and he gets tons of compliments! Much more the my rolex.
