The McQueen says Haute punk to me the SLP seems more biker/LA rock

I'd go for the McQueen because I can see it going with a lots more looks and outfits whatever the vibe, whereas the SLP will always rock casual
Salient point. I do think that the McQueen would go with more of my wardrobe and it makes an edgier statement. I love that the sides unzip and reveal white leather as well. I think the SL packs a little less visual punch.

The verdict is in, I'm going with McQueen! Now my issue is that there is only ONE left on the entire internet and I can't make any big purchases until Tuesday eeeeeeek!!

Thanks everyone! You were all a huge help.

Ok so it's been a few months, and I wanted to update on which bag(s) I decided to get.

I got, um. Three bags. Unfortunately the McQueen shopper at the beginning of this thread has been sold out everywhere and like bags have been hard to come by. The Saint Laurents I had my eye on also sold, and I couldn't find another at a price I liked. I decided to just wait and see what happened.

So here's the party! I'm pretty happy. All three together came out to less than $2k, for bags that, if purchased full retail, would have totaled over twice that. Details to follow!

First up is a McQueen small studded skull padlock satchel. I really lucked out finding the small size instead of the mini, at 5ft4in this bag is a perfect size for me. I love it -- I love the two-tone leather and the gradient of studs and that badass skull. It's completely nuts and over the top and 'haute punk' as described above. I wear it quite a lot.

Then I found this Jimmy Choo studded Ally in the smooshiest black deerskin, with these incredibly glam gold studs. MRVUITTON was correct to ask me to consider Jimmy Choo, and initially I was worried that a Choo would be too flashy and not my style but I totally adore this bag. It's an asymmetrical, unusual shape, and I feel like it's kind of special because I don't see a lot of Jimmy Choo's around. The microsuede interior is something I would sleep in. Glorious!

I am in love with this!

FINALLY, there's this Ted Baker Studded Metal Bar Shopper. I watched an episode of Empire where Cookie Lyon is carrying this completely ferocious tote and I thought to myself I MUST HAVE IT WHO IS IT. I had absolutely no idea, and figured at first that it might be a Choo because it had two words on the bar logo. Then I discovered it on the blog Glamazon, and to my surprise the bag is by TED BAKER, usually known for quirky, off-kilter, distinctly British clothing. I feel like the bag is off-brand for Baker, but it's so fierce I don't care. This was the least expensive out of the three bags and it looks about three times its price. It was completely sold out everywhere when I started looking but by luck one popped up on Ebay. When I lifted it from its packaging I gasped. It's absolutely a stunner.

So that's my studded handbag reveal! Three different bags with three different moods. Modeling pics to follow soon. I hope you enjoyed the hardware, I sure had fun shopping for these. :)
