Which speedy to get? Speedy B 30? Speedy B 25? Or classic Speedy 25

I recently got the Speedy B 25 and my hope is to use it as an everyday bag while home and while traveling (working out well so far while at home, obviously haven't traveled yet). It will not fit a laptop though and I don't think it will fit my iPad Pro (although haven't tried). You mentioned that you don't need this to be your day-to-day bag and it sounds like you'd want to fit a lot in this not only while you're in the process of traveling (like on the airplane), but also while sightseeing. Do you plan to carry larger electronics with you when you travel? If so, I don't think you'll be able to fit them in either size Speedy and you might have to bring another item on the plane anyways. If I'm traveling and have to bring my laptop, I plan to just use my MZ Wallace Large Metro Tote on the plane, which I could place my Speedy and my laptop in. Then, I'll use the Speedy once I get to my destination.

I also personally think the 30 looks too big as a crossbody, so I wouldn't want to carry something that big day-to-day while traveling. I do think it looks great carried on the shoulder or in the crook of your arm. Either way I really don't think you can't go wrong! When I was in the process of deciding, I looked at Instagram posts tagged #lvspeedyban25 and #lvspeedyban30. There are lots of model pics to see how it looks on people. Good luck!

Wow!!!! Thank you so much for putting in the detailed questions for me and help me think over what I really need.

So: I dont carry any big device with me when travel ( my husband carries them lol). When I travel I carry my giant travel wallet and holds all the passport and cash, my cellphone, eyeglasses. That’s it. I also carries the rest in my carry on suit case. I like to travel light and not like to carry heavy bag.

If my travel wallet can fit into speedy b 25. It will be ideal. Then i dont need to bring another small bag for the city tour. But if the wallet is too big, oh dear, i probably have to opt for speedy b 30.

I dress super casual when I travel so the speedy fits the style. But day to day I do dress up then I would not be using the speedy. However it could be my rainy day bag though, coz my other bag cannot really going into the rain.

Here is my giant wallet that had been traveling around the world with me for the last 10 years. Love it dearly. It’s like my little baby that I cannot part with. And now they dont make it anymore~

You're welcome! From what you've said, it sounds like the Speedy B 25 will great, as long as it can fit your wallet. What are the dimensions on the wallet? I could see if I have something similar in size and show you a comparison pic of how it would look in and out of the Speedy 25 if that would be helpful.

Option 2 get 30b for travel, sightseeing etc and classic for everyday. I see it as an investment. These bags don't go out of style and you will find use for them outside of travels too once you have them. If you can afford to, get both! I have two speedy b in 25+30 in DE and looking to add the classic mono speedy in 25 in the future. Speedy are just great bags! :)

Awwwww! I really appreciate it!!

It is 9.5 inch (length) x 5inch( width)

It is about 1 inch thick



I see the 25 is 9.8(length)x 7.8x5.9 ( width)

So we are really pushing it close. I use the big wallet while at the airport, but if I am touring around the city, i will use the small wallet.

As long as I can fit it in the bag ok, I wont be too worry about accessibility.

I’m same height as you and I have a speedy b 25 in DE and speedy classic in monogram. I don’t like the way the 30 looks on me.

I love both my speedies equally. With the speedy classic, it’s in monogram so there’s less vachetta to deal with compared to a bandouliere version. I use it handcarry to go shopping. So cute. For travel I prefer the 25 as it’s easier to carry around.

Awesome! Yes i opt out monogram because i dont really want to deal with the vachetta while I know the bag will be tossed around while traveling. DE looks like such a low maintenance bag haha

My closet will be flooded with all the speedies hahahha

I bought a mini speedy Hl and two nano speedy. If i add on all the 25, 25b, 30, hubby probably laugh at me hahahhaha

I do have too many structured hand bags for my day to day style that i am having trouble using them regular ly enough. I shouldn’t be adding a whole lot of speedy hahaha. Although two days ago I did believe I wanted them all. Lol

Your travel wallet is beautiful, I can see why you want to make sure you can keep using it! So I searched my apartment and couldn't seem to find anything that was 9.5 inches without being super wide as well :doh:

I do think that the wallet will fit, but it would have to be placed flat at the bottom of the bag or have it at the bottom and pressed up against one of the sides. The zipper opening is only about 8.5 inches (photo below, sorry couldn't hold the tape measurer and take the photo at the same time!). I believe the measurement from the website is for the bottom of the bag. You'll have to angle the wallet in and out.

Overall, I do think it will fit, but it will be tight and I think it will be cumbersome to get in and out. It could be okay if you're only using that wallet while in the process of traveling, but I don't think I'd want to deal with getting it in and out on a daily basis.

Here's some pics wearing it (I'm 5'3'' and size 0-2. I have the strap as short as it can be for crossbody. At 5'6'', you shouldn't have any trouble finding a length you like).

I think the 25 and 30 sizes both have their pros and cons (not helpful in deciding, I know). I was confident that the 25 was the right size for me because it is very similar in size to the purse I have been using the past couple years for day-to-day and for travel. I do wish the zipper opening was just a bit wider though. Let us know which size you decide on!
