Hello!

Over the summer I've fallen in love with the crossbody purses everyone seems to wear these days.
Unfortunately this purse is too small for my size – I am 1.78cm tall:

I am looking for a colourful purse. The Hermes Berline is too "embossed" for my liking.
Plus: I want a non-detachable strap. I Like the one in the link above)

The Lock-Me strap is obvisously too short for my size:

Any recommendations?
THYIA!

note: Coach, Banana Republic, Tory Burch are not available in stores where I live.
(I like to see a purse in the store before I buy it)

Is there any reason why you specifically want non-removable straps? Cos most bags come with them so you have the option to switch straps or use the bag as a clutch.

Without knowing what stores you have near you, it's hard to suggest anything you can look at in person. Do you have Dior, Gucci, Marni, Furla? Those are the ideas I have for small crossbody bags.

If you will consider ordering from Italy, Massaccesi has a FW16 bag called the Aura, which seems close to the design you like (http://fortheloveofmassaccesi.blogspot.ca) and they will customize details e.g. your choice of leather, extend straps by 3 inches, add exterior pockets etc for a reasonable price but of course, you won't see the bag till it's shipped to you.

Thank you for the Link!
Good to know they can customize details!

I like a fix strap more, because I find it nicer. To me the attached strap seems like an improvised look.

I have all major luxury brands at hands:
Boutiques: Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Dior, Prada, Valentino, Furla, Bally, Akris, Mulberry, Saint Laurent, McQueen ...

Do you have a certain small crossbody on your mind?
I've browsed LV and Hermes and had a short look at Gucci, but I did not research Guccin in detail yet!

Again, thank you!

Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir Mini has a long, adjustable strap. I'm 6'0" and I have a MbMJ Percy and a DKNY mini Bryant Park mini crossbody, both have long, adjustable and removable straps.

The only one I can think of that's in that style is Furla Metropolis: http://us.furla.com/store/furlaus/en_US/pd/ThemeID.38494200/productID.2062577800/categoryID.67962900

If you're open to other styles, the mini Lady Dior is adorable and designed to be worn crossbody. Or the Gucci Disco, which is popular. If the stores are close together, maybe you can visit to see what's available.

This is going to be fun

I am off, browsing the Furla page. :

And the winner is Longchamp!
Almost Le Pliace Cuir. Well, not exactly. This cutie won my heart:

I will post a photo tomorrow in daylight. The length is perfect and the design is simple, classy and sporty, I can easily "upstyle" and "downstyle" it. Plus: it's extremly lightweight. Looking back at the first OP with the 1st link, the bag that was too small and just not right, I would say the Longchamp 2.0 is even pretty close to that initial idea.

In case you make it to Vienna, the store at the Graben is wonderful! Light, airy. big and the staff is exceptional welcoming. I highly recommend the store. It opened about 1 year ago.
Another nice aspect is that the store closes at 7pm whereas many other stores in the 1st district close at 6.30pm. #afterworkpleasure

Thank you for the great support. Without the your input I would probably be still searching, spending hours online, browsing websites.

Thank you! I am very happy with the size, the colour, everything!

I am just a little bit ... troubled, because the bag was made in Morocco. Not because I love France so much BUT I fear for the conditions of those peole working in Morocco.
What I hope: Longchamp is a family run business and I read articles that they do visit the manufactures in Morocco and Tunesia, they go there, educating the workers, supplying with material from France. Sounds not so bad, no? While other luxury brands never set foot in their factories in China or Bangladesh ....
I don't want to fund exploitation.
Should not have googled!!! :annoyed:

Back to the topic: it's such a nice purse!
