Hmmm thats interesting about the strap. I would say the acajou is thicker. Maybe due to the embossing. It has a beautiful expensive look to it maybe because it has a sheen. Here are a couple more pics of the actual bags.

Yes! Acajou is the one I love and it’s sold out here in apac. I already have two side trunks so I know I’ll love it!
The side trunk is one of my favorite bags! Once im off ban island I’ll be adding another to my collection.
I’m liking the acajou. There’s just something so luscious about it. Love the color and the texture.
That said, if this would be more of an everyday bag I would lean towards the vibe since it feels like it could be dressed up or down easily.

Yes it definitely is luscious. This would be my first side trunk. I don't plan on using it as an everyday bag. As much as I do love the vibe, I think the Acajou just has that something extra & a bit more of the wow factor

Congrats! I think you made the right choice, despite the ghw. This bag more special in my opinion and I personally didn't love the monogram with the black but I've always liked the debossed monogram look like the empriente or the old vernis Almas. Wear it in good health!
