the iridescent is aged calfskin I believe. Does that change your answer lol?

Aged calfskin is soft but durable. I love chevron. I think you would have a great bag if you picked this one.
Edit: Yay! I see that you did! It is such an unique and beautiful bag, yet still classically Chanel.

I picked up a chevron mini this year. Love chevron as it’s a nice change from the classics. Buy what you love.

No, I was a cold walk in to chanel Madison (bags and accessories) and I didn’t have a dedicated SA. But, I misspoke; it was last summer 2020. It was after DH and I had been SIP in our apt for months. I was dying to go shopping. I hadn’t been into a chanel in years (I had switched to Hermes and had also stopped buying chanel RTW bc I had been unable to fit into my old size). During SIP, I came back to TPF and saw another TPFer‘s reveal of an so black chevron mini reissue. At that time, Hermes was only doing appts (and I was originally resistant to planning ahead and making them), but chanel Madison welcomed walk ins, especially during the week. So, I walked in and said I’d like to buy a mini, and do you have something called an so black chevron reissue mini. I had my choice of various mini bags (square with ghw etc). Also, it didn’t matter that I happened to have a boutique RTW purchase history (they didn’t check the system until after i decided to buy the bag). Good luck on your search! I hope you find one!
