Which of the 'Big Three' do you prefer - Ruby, Emerald or Sapphire?

rubies are the most expensive of all 3 stones (pigeon's blood red)
emeralds come a close second but they're the high maintenance stone-- and not recommended for daily use or for engagement rings bec the stones crack easy.
sapphires are nice-- cornflower blue ones *heart*

I agree, rubies and emeralds may tend to be even more valuable, but I love sapphires!

I'm born in July, so I should say my favourite is ruby, but actually i like the deep intensity of sapphire (that's my mum's birthstone too, and she said it is more expensive than the others, which made me feel so good, not). I would have to say sapphire, ruby, emerald, but I wouldn't mind if somebody gave me an emerald LOL

A good quality ruby stone can be sooo beautiful But I like them all...Although I think it's difficult to find a really beautiful coloured sapphire.
