Hello everyone,
For my birthday in February, I am gifting myself a Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag. Had been working hard...
Your kind opinions, advice and reviews would be greatly appreciated and will help me to decide on either the canvas signature/leather version or the all leather version. If it is the signature/leather vision, with brown or red piping and if all leather version, in black or brown?

I have mostly black, red and a green gucci Zumi. I am still very undecided. Canvas or leather and if leather which color.
However I think it is perhaps better to get it in leather...

Leather is maybe more elegant and understated, but in this case, in my opinion, more boring too. I find Gucci canvas actually quite understated, at least in my country and when compared to LV monogram. But this is of course just my opinion. :smile:

Thanks for your opinion. It is very helpful.
I am just afraid that the canvas will get outdated faster that in leather. A leather bag will age gracefully, canvas just go through a phase maybe...

I do not think the monogram canvas will date. It is iconic Gucci. I think paired with the leather trim it looks even more classic and elegant. I think the brown canvas trim would be more versatile than the red. The red is stunning if you are wanting a pop of colour.

In the leather versions I like both the black and brown. The brown looks more vintage and makes the bag stand out a little more. The black looks more modern but is the most understated of the collection.

I do agree with you regarding the Monogram canvas looking classic, elegant and versatile. However many women have this one including intagrammers/influencers, actresses etc.
I wanted to eventually get the black leather as it is the easiest to match I guess but the brown leather seems more vintage looking, therefore more interesting.

No black is not a boring choice. It is classic and if you want a bag to match everything black is a great option!

If you look at the Gucci Horsebit 1955 thread, the black looks great worn on a lot of people. :)
