I wound up staying with round (i was having trouble picturing princesses on her ears), doubling up on the carat size (.92ctw) and keeping the ideal cut... it kinda doubled the price, but i figure she's worth it, and i can always borrow them if i wanna get fancy. ;)

I'll make sure to take modeling pics of her ears when she gets them!

Cut is the most important factor in determining how good any diamond looks. Better cut stones look bigger and more sparklie than larger less well cut stones. That said have you seen them in person? Looking at them IRL can help you decide. They two different cuts and different looks. Personally I would go for the round ones because they are more classic, but if you love princess cuts and they look good in person then you should go for those.

Sorry late to the party, just read that they are for your mom and that you got a bigger size. It's a great choice and gift. I'm sure your mother will appreciate having such a thoughtful daughter.

OMG you are such a nice daughter. Please post pictures and spec of the diamonds, I would love to see because I am looking for something similiar.
