Had a surprising experience at the GUCCI store yesterday. I went there to take a closer look at the bags. The regular with black trims was too big for me (as I expected ) The Web was ok, but the SA strongly discourage me to buy the bag, because of the Web. He told me the Web was very little resistant, and once it get a stain, the bag is ruined. He wouldn't recommend the bag at all!

Interesting. Is there an alternative you are thinking about getting?

Is it possible your SA was inexperienced? I have had my web a little over a year and have used it almost exclusively. It has been jammed under my car seat, sat on the ground, bottled water spilled inside it. When I got a spot on it I used a disposable wet wipe to clean it off. It is pristine. I tried to post a picture of it but I couldn't get it to post.

All that aside, are you going to put the bag in the mud or dirt or drag it on the ground? :shocked:

I don't know anything about that SA, but this was exactly what he told me. Personaly, I don't have a clue about the Gucci Web. I've never had such a bag in my collection.

Why don't you start a thread asking about opinions from web owners? I'm sure there are many here. I know you like Gucci very much and a web piece is a classic. I love mine.

I bought the web Caleido tote for this winter, and LOVE the web on any Gucci item. But I'm old school. :smile: And this isn't the cloth stripes ~ it's printed on the canvas, so much safer.
