Which color holds the most value for a Birkin 25?

I'm not VIP, so I've never gotten the exact specs I wanted, but I have always been happy with what I've gotten. The answer is...it depends. Sometimes seasonal colors fetch a very high premium. I feel like classic colors even aren't a "sure bet," since I feel like Gold wasn't as in high demand a few years ago as it is now.

These are just my own humble opinions. I'm no expert.

These questions always strike me as transparently about flipping. Hence, doing your own research into the resale markets could be of help, especially if you invest a lot of time, over time, tracking colors and specific markets. Do report back with your findings!
No, I just want to value members opinion. B25 is on my list for a long time but still no offer

I wrote an article on this a few years ago and I was sure that the answer would be pink (because I’m totally objective  ). I was surprised to discover that (at the time/in the US) the answer was black. It was even more to my chagrin, because that’s the color one of my (non-fashion-y) teen sons guessed. 🤷‍♀️

I think you should just get what you love and will work best for your wardrobe. My most-used bag is a bright blue, which I would never have guessed when I bought it, but for me it seems to go with quite a lot. As others have said here, as long as you take reasonable care it will always retain some value, but it will lose value once you start using it, and you really can’t rely on the idea of selling it later on, so you may as well get what works best for you and enjoy it.

Many articles about colors that hold its value. I tend to agree on Black/Gold/Cream. I'm sure certain pastels will continue to be popular (Rose Sakura).

Personally I think certain colors will circle back on value seasonally (like Rouge H/Rogue Sellier for Autumn )

I understand the need to be mindful of resale value should you need to sell with any item that costs a lot of money.
As others have written fashion colours will not have the universal appeal - hence resale value - of classic black, gold or étoupe.
If you really want a Birkin or a Kelly to enjoy and use (rather than an iconic piece to show off) it is possible that the best bag to hold value would be a genuine second-hand bag in very good condition - I don't mean a premium sale from a reseller.
Think of it as you would antique furniture.

I think is is very good advice.

Even though they were seasonal I think Rose Sakura, Rose Pourpre (which are to my pinks) and bright reds like RC/RV/RG etc are desirable, also Orange d'H (not my orange).

I'm not a B-woman but I can see size and condition are far more important IMO for preloved. Seasonal colours hold well until fashion changes, sometimes they rise and rise and then they fall e.g. Blue Jean. All fashions for colours come and go, even those considered classics, Etoupe is not as popular as it once was.
