I was really set on the gray, until the black showed up!The black is definitely harder to get. The gray one is still available in some stores and online. I will keep the black one, honestly. It is super pretty with the tooled roses!

You can send the black one to me [emoji6]
(My vote is to keep the black, lol)
I think so, too. The black looks more sophisticated; is that the right word?
Tell me why! What gets you about the gray?I’m in the minority and prefer the gray [emoji23] But I don’t think you can lose here, they are both lovely.
It might pop up again!I think so! There’s something classy about the silver and black look. I love the gray, too, and just added it to my collection. If I could get my hands on the black, though... look out!
Do you know how to read these numbers, incidentally? H1780-58840, inside.I think so! There’s something classy about the silver and black look. I love the gray, too, and just added it to my collection. If I could get my hands on the black, though... look out!

That is a tough and close call. I purchased the gray one for my daughter, and she loves it. I did see the black one in real life, months ago, and I didn't consider it, because back then, I thought the 25 size was too small for my needs, and I was iffy on the metal flowers on the bag for some reason that I no longer remember. I think I like the tea roses better in all leather with just a metal stud in the center. The gray is lovely, but there is something about that black; including the fact that it was so elusive!
What do you think? Opinions?
Thank you for the thoughtful and thorough reply. You make some good points! Yes, I do like jewel tones and they suit me better than most pastels and softer colors. My life is more casual than formal; I’m home with my children. I wanted a TR bag specifically because of beauty and versatility; can dress it up or down. Now, I hunted down that black bag and am thrilled to have it, but the gray drew me first. I got the gray at a fantastic price and I think about $ saved, too. I asked two friends about these and each likes a different bag. On another note, when taking the pics, I noticed the gray is taller and slimmer than the black, which I find interesting. It is about 1/2” taller, and 1/2” less deep.Given the choice of black or gray, I’d always choose gray. Gray has a little more of a sophisticated feel to me? I love gray paired with other colors. I know black technically matches everything but for me it is “harsher.” Same reason I’d choose gold jewelry over silver tone, gold like gray has more life to it for me.
I wear a lot of browns, olive, mauves, earth tones and I like gray with these type of colors. I do read that a lot of people that wear brighter and more jewel tones like black bags. So maybe take your wardrobe into consideration too [emoji1]
