What is the weight like in the fount tote and is that the small or classic sized tote?

The tote is petite/small. It’s three years old and I think the petite size has changed a bit - and mine does not have a zipper. Zippers are now an option and would definitely add weight. The tote is definitely not as heavy as the shoulder bag that’s next to it - but I don’t know the weight.

Hermès always!! It will be beautiful for a lifetime. And if you tire of it, you can probably resell it. If you want an inexpensive bag that you can eventually donate to Goodwill, get the Coach. I had over 100 Coach bags that I have been trying to sell, and have literally had to pay people to take them. I still love some of them, but most are banged up or very heavy or very out of style. And I am now spending only on Hermès (ok and maybe Fendi), and no longer spending money on Chanel or Louis Vuitton for another set of reasons. I think it just depends on how much money you are willing to spend. I don’t think we often really recoup the cost of a bag when trying to resell. At least I have not had much luck with that. Get what you love and are willing to afford.
One more question does the tote stay on your shoulder or does one strap fall off a lot? I tend to have issues with one strap falling.
It stays pretty well. I tend to sort of hold the straps when I walk. Does that make sense? Over the years, the leather has worn in so nicely, it’s like putting on a comfortable shoe or a leather glove.
The shoulder bag, stays on my shoulder very well. The strap is wide and lined with suede.
