I have only the large ones, which are among my favorite bags for work. Very roomy and handles easily fit over the shoulder. I love the puffy quilting and texture. I would buy the smaller ones too if they had a shoulder strap. There is a version of the smaller one with a shoulder strap, but they're rare and frequently overpriced for being in terrible shape.

Gotta tell you that after wearing the Hobo for the last 2 months, the Besace is way more convenient since it can be crossbody - especially when walking the dog (whose butt is on the left lol)!

The original strap isn't doing anything for me, lol, it's just way too short. Took it off and put it away.
I bought a couple of those multi colored fabric straps a long time ago. But I can't recall from where. I'm in Germany and it was from a local seller, that much I remember. I'm sure you'll find similar ones on etsy or ebay.
It was only the first time out today, but it went surprisingly well. So far so good.

In all these years, I've never felt Monk in person. It looks so cool in photos, but I can't figure out how it would feel to the touch.

It's impossible to describe for me. Kind of a "waxy suede" texture, but still soft and not stiff or anything. Sturdy, but softens up with use. It's not a smooth surface, you can feel its texture. You have to take our word for it, lol. IT'S AMAZING and you need to get your hands on one!
