My VF GGH city is beat up to hell and approaching Swamp Thing status, but it's so lovable. This VF Day is surprisingly dark. All the VF's I've seen and owned could be described as a dark brown-green. This Day has no brown in it. It's a black-green.

I have carried my Aviator Twiggy since before Christmas, but it is finally time to switch it out for one of my red Cities. This is CeeJay's 2006 Rouge Vif City with her Juicy Couture Empire State Building charm. The scarf is my new Hermes Flagship in red. Happy New Year and Valentine’s Week!

I have been wanting to carry my new-to-me Aviator Twiggy and decided to get it out today. Love the style, not sure about the lack of a zippered inside pocket, and how the zipper snags the shearling making it difficult to open and close. We'll see how it goes.

My very dudely boyfriend is very supportive of my insane bag collection and helped out on the The Museum project. He was standing in front of the Tower of Bal yesterday, understandingly appreciating the bags. I pulled out the VF Day for him to feel, saying "Tell me where, where on earth you're going to find leather like this? huh? huh?" He's a motorcycle guy and used to race. As he was admiring the leather, he said "This is the kind of leather old motorcycle gear used to be made of. Not anymore, but long ago. Back in the day those were made of goat leather." So I gleefully squealed "This is goat leather! And these are called Motorcycle Bags!"

This is amazing story ! now I learned something exciting and new
