Which bags are you planning on buying in 2015?

Scratch everything I said before!!! I finally know what I MUST have this year if I want to continue to breathe! (Thanks to many of you for your suggestions)

• Chanel red classic flap Jumbo w/ SHW (I reeeeaallly want a lipstick red single flap caviar)
• Prada mini or small red double zip lux tote. I have one in pink and looooove it. Haven't had any of the quality issues some of you have had. It's been bullet proof. So, I won't rest until I get her red headed sister.

And since I've already bought two expensive (to me) bags this year:
• Chanel black patent classic single flap Jumbo w/ SHW
• Chanel medium grey caviar classic double flap w/ SHW

After these purchases, I will dig a concrete and lead bunker under ban island there til hubby buys me a bag in December for my bday.

Gals please help me out, I am SOOOOO confused and I can only buy one purse for this year, unfortunate I know, but yea i watched a gazillion videos already about the three and still cannot decide.
my lifestyle, is pretty much casual on most days, very relaxed, I wear alot of black,white,neutrals all the way. i love being hands free so straps are a must which these three has... i know theyre both classics so you could imagine my confusion on which to buy first. I NEED HELP. i need something for everyday to play substitute for my Neverfull MM and Phillip Lim Medium Pashli.

what would be your pick? and why?

Black Balenciaga RH City or a Speedy B 25 Or Speedy B 30

^^I have Bal City and Speedy 25 Classic. If you prefer shoulder carry, Bal City may not be the best choice as aesthetic wise, Bal City looks best hand carried or at elbow crook. You can wear it at your shoulder which I also sometimes do but it doesn't look its best that way.
Speedy B looks good hand carried or by its strap.
Size wise, 25 or 30, depends on how much stuff you carry and what occasion you want to use it for.
If you can do hand carry, Bal City wins it for me as IMO, it is a classic with an edge. I [emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️ mine. GLD!!

hey!! super thanks for your opinion,
that's one good point yea Bal city doesnt really look good while using as a shoulder bag. i really really like both, would you know how often Balenciaga increases its price? maybe I can get the Speedy B 25 or 30 first then get the Bal City Next year? now that i think about it more, I mean im set of getting both but which is ideal to get first. price increase wise...

AFAIK, Balenciaga doesn't increase its price regularly but try searching through the Bal sub forum. The ladies there would be more knowledgable on this topic. One thing to consider though, Bal leather varies from year to year and even bag to bag so if you find one with really great leather, I would get it first.
LV hasn't increased its price this year so it is possible it will happen soon-ish. I'd say, if you don't find a black Bal city with leather that you love, get the Speedy first. HTH[emoji5]️

I own a Speedy B 25 in Damier Ebene and two Balenciaga City bags and I have to say the Speedy is more practical. First, you can use it absolutely carefree in the rain and snow. Furthermore, you can carry it three different ways. And lastly, the 25 fits just as much as the City!

I agree that the Balenciaga looks better hand carried or in the crook of your arm. Mine always slides down whenever I put it on my shoulder...And when it comes to prices, the Speedy is more affordable and holds its value better (I bought both City bags with regular hardware pre-loved for a fraction of the original price, 500 and 800 instead of 1.345 Euros...).

I personally like the 25 better than the 30 just because it looks better crossbody and I don't like how the 30 and 35 bend when carried this way.

BerlinArtGirl thank you so much for that info. that the 25 holds as much as the City can. ive slept on it and im pretty much decided on getting the speedy b 25, i went through alot of photos and again watched videos and yeah after reading your opinion made my decision more solid. i watched Jerusha Couture tv on youtube over and over too about her speedy b 25 and shes pretty crazy about it. okay yaaaassss im set..... and ready to purchase the Speedy B 25..ill post pics soon!!!!!!!! As for the balenciaga city ill see you next year! :)

Great, happy to help! Maybe you can add the City when you find one for a great deal pre-loved, that is what I did. The prices for LV bags are pretty high on the secondary market, so I always buy them new because it does not make a big difference. I hope you enjoy your new purchase!
