Which bag to keep .. speedy vs alma ?

Hello everyone

I'm downsizing my handbag collection and I need your thoughts

Which one to keep

Speedy B 25 in DE
OR
Alma pm epi leather

I like dressy bags ( I'm 40 ) and feel that the speedy is too casual for me.

I like the alma pm , it still like new condition, but I feel it's out of fashion ( I own also alma bb in vernies)


What do you think ??

My advice will probably not help, but I would not let go of any of the two bags. They are both gorgeous bags and I do not think that the Epi Alma PM is out of fashion . It´s definitely a keeper for me.

The alma pm size is coming back! I think I saw pics of it but I did just get for the day so I sort of feel like that was a dream haha.
Which would you use more? I think the speedy isn’t too young for you. But if you are on the dressier side I’d keep the alma - esp if you love the color! It will be hard to replace. If you did have sellers remorse down the road, the speedy is easier to find again.

I am 2 year younger than you, and I love speedy, if you are not into speedy(speedy is casual and easygoing), should keep the one you love more.

The Épi Alma PM is the most beautiful and feminine women's handbag Vuitton has ever created. An all time classic. You shouldn't let go of it, especially not in the amazing colour (it is called Cassis) and immaculate condition. And the Fleur bagcharm... this is dream combo. I loved this late 00's era. I think the alma is a very feminine and classy bag. Your PM bag looks good and definitely not out of fashion. The speedy is casual for sure and if you feel like you don't get much use out of it, then that would be the one to sell.

I have both , definitely speedy b 25 is a worry free everyday bag . I don’t reach to the Alma often because it can only be handheld , but I don’t want to let it go either.
If you must let one go , speedy may be an easy sell and bring you more money back.

For me it’s the Alma. Hands down. No doubt. No hesitation. If LV made a prettier bag, a classier bag or a more versatile bag I missed it.

If you are able to, I would keep both. The shape of the alma is so feminine and I don't think it will be out of fashion. It's a classic.

Regarding the speedy, I think the speedy can serve another purpose. I had a speedy b and let her go thinking my taste has gone a different direction and I would never wear the speedy again. A year later, I added the speedy b back as a more casual alternative to wearing my Chanel's. But I had to pay a much higher price to add her back.

So, I would say, if you are able to do so....keep both.

Alma’s are definitely coming back so I would keep that one. I agree with our other members: they’re classic, feminine and will never go out of style!

I’m of no help, I’d definitely keep both! I didn’t even know that the Alma wouldn’t be in style. LV has Almas in PM size always for sale (well, you know, not always atb, but on the website) in mono, DE and at least in black epi, and it’s the ultimate classic.

Keep Alma. Normally I'd say keep the Speedy too because the price keeps going up and it's getting harder to get classic pieces, but then you'd end up with bags you may never reach for.
