Which Bag Brand in the Contemporary to High End Range is not popular or outdated anymore?
May I ask why are you asking this?
Is it because you’re on the market for a new bag and do not want to buy a bag that is out? Or want to sell your bags and want to know what to keep and what to let go of?
The reason I ask is because I think people should buy whatever they like, pick and choose trends that suit them, but not let trends (which is indirectly lead by others*) make decisions for them.
Nothing wrong with being informed about what’s in or out, but don’t let a trend stop you from doing something you enjoy.

I usually start enjoying certain trends (certain it bags and shoes) after they start to die down, not when they are at their peak. I think I get tired of seeeing them plastered everywhere and it’s only when they start to die down or have just passed that I start to appreciate them for what they are. Anyone else gets that?

On the other hand, Chloe’s bracelet bags haven’t been ‘it’ bags for a million years, yet I wear them as if they were because to me they are as beautiful and interesting as the day I got them.

Sorry if I didn’t answer your question. I consider myself the other side of the token and wonder why what everyone else is doing is important (if that’s the case). If people kept following trends new trends would never start.

*for example, you still enjoy this bag or jeans, but stop wearing it because it’s not ‘in’ anymore. Others stopped wearing it and you followed suit against your will. They made the decision for you.

I don't know if you've seen the older Botkier bags but if you compare the ones from several years ago to the ones they're making now the old ones are Much nicer leather. I never got an old school Trigger and would consider buying one today.
I still ‘like’ Botkier (also directing this to Balenciamags:smile:)
I mean, not every single one, and I definitely agree the older ones were FAR posher, but. Still!!
Just found a Dakota clutch at TJMaxx for like $69.99; I’m just sleeping on whether to get the black one or the dark green...

I agree! The older versions are definitely better quality and I refuse to give a few of mine up. The leather is really nice and I'm a sucker for lots of pockets!

Also, as much as I love black bags (black bag hoarder, really), I'd say go for the dark green! I've been eyeing a metallic emerald backpack from Coach myself.

Got the dark green. Good call, thanks!!Weirdly, it’s SIGNIFICANTLY softer than the black was, ‘almost’ like lamb versus cow. It fits a crazy volume of stuff for the tiny size, so if the black one is still there on Saturday it’s mine too. I must sit on my wallet till then or I’ll feel guilty

Good choice! It's beautiful and the sliver hardware compliments it well.

i live in Europe and i'm just curious which brands are less popular especially in the USA. Marc Jacobs, for example, was very popular for a while.
