Seoul in the 2000-early 2010s (I was a really early stylenanda fan) - it was age appropriate then.

I'm trying out the Parisian/French styling out now - lack of je ne se quois aside, I quite like it. It feels like a slightly more mature (and slightly more carefree) version of the standard Korean look for a teen-early 20s y/o woman - like a teenager graduating.

Admittedly, to a certain extent, I think I'm gravitating to the French style of dressing because it's much more carefree and a lot less involved than the Korean style. I cannot be bothered to spend 30 mins a day on skincare at night and 30 mins on makeup in the day.

Oh I’d be curious what was the style like in that era. Will search.
The Parisian style is more carefree because it has to look like you haven’t really tried hard. Even if you may have haha. This sort of high/low, done/undone. Skincare is very important. But make up is less!
