Don't know if it's still there, but my SA unveil a shrink wrap gorgeous 30 cm Chocolate Togo w/PHW in front of me. I almost took it, but decided to pass and wait patiently for my RG bag that he has bend over backwards to get for me. If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you more info.

sumgirl, while in OC, you may consider visiting BH as well. When I visited there last month, an SA told me the manager usually has one Birkin put out on a daily basis. Unfortunately I came in the late afternoon, so the one put out for that day was sold. I have also been wanting to purchase a 30cm Birkin (open to almost any colors), but I'm not sure how I will ever be able to get one. The closest Hermes store for me is an hour away, and I don't have the luxury of always visiting there. Maybe one lucky day, I will run into one while at an Hermes store. :search: I had promised myself not to purchase another purse (except maybe another Hermes :D), until I find my Birkin! sfshopgirl, are Thursdays the days you usually see them? Do you recall the colors and sizes? I saw 40cm the last two times I visited on a Saturday. I would like either a 30 or 35. TIA!

I live near South Coast PLaza in Costa Mesa, OC, CA and I sometimes see 35 Cm Birkins displayed on the store's shelves. I know the store is under renovation right now, but they have a small portion of the store still open - I saw it today. So, Maybe if you stop by when you visit OC, you'll get lucky! Happy Shopping!

I was at South Coast Plaza yesterday because I had a concert to play across the street, and I saw a black Kelly. Stock was relatively low. Today at BH, they had a lot of Kellys but they sold the 35 Togo Red Birkin that was on the shelf. Last week in San Diego, I bought my first birkin. The SA was very depressed and said they hadn't sold any in a while, and because of the economic downturn, they were pulling out everything they had in the back. I love the San Diego store-- they were very nice and way more personable than the BH store. I was there in the afternoon and the store was completely deserted... kind of sad like the rest of the mall. I wound up buying a 30 dark blue birkin (sorry.. not sure what the color is called.. am a Hermes newbie) togo leather birkin. I'm happy I found these forums! I didn't know anything much about the brand.

Yes! In San Diego, there was a 30 orange ostrich.. sorry I will get better with the colors/leathers/exotics names.. It was very beautiful but I didn't want to drop 16,000 bucks. I thought that it was a bit excessive. In BH, only saw many kellys and the one red 35 birkin they had out. I guess I'm supposed to post a reveal in one of the other threads. Finding a birkin in San Diego was complete luck! I've always casually looked for one, but was always told about those fake waiting lists and what not. I just happened to be down there because my father was in town and we went in with no expectations and there the blue one was sitting there. They are REALLY nice in San Diego.. I hate the BH store because I've had watches and other things from Hermes, and they've always been consistently rude-- even though I work with a particular SA there-- she has never let me SO, offered to show me Birkins.. nothing!

Nenitaviolin, thank you for your reply. I'm also quite new to Hermes, so like you, I'm learning about the colors, leathers, etc...
My first and only Hermes purchase is a SO Kelly from SCP. I'm from northern CA and was visiting LA area during the time. I thought the SA who helped me was very nice and helpful, since I really didn't know much about Hermes. My DH seems to know more about them than I do. ;) He mentioned Birkins, and the SA told me to just let him know if I ever consider getting one. Well, after the SO Kelly, I've decided future purses for me will be Hermes. I called my SA on my Birkin interest, and he said he would let me know when one is available. I'm disappointed to say I've read from the Inventory Update sub-forum a few sightings of birkins there, but no call from him. :sad: Hermes also has so many other wonderful products, so until I'm lucky enough to find my Birkin, I'll just make other Hermes purchases on special occasions.

As for your Birkin, I'm wondering if it may be Bleu De Prusse? Did the SA not inform you of the color? I would love a Birkin in this color, or Blue Jean. The Orange Ostrich would be wonderful, but I will stick to non-exotics for now. :smile1:

I don't think Hermes allows their SA to tell you the availability of the bag over the phone, they want you to come in the store, sad....
