your watch is beautiful!......I think you should wear that where ever and when ever you want!

I have a gold rolex president with diamonds around the face like yours, and although I usually wear it when i go out, I have worn it t the gym, salon, shopping etc...

sometimes when im dressed WAY down and gross, and I slip on my diamond rolex....I forget how gross my outfit is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good luck , wear it and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carrie that's gorgeous! I like how small the watch is and the shape of the bezel, very dainty and ladylike. Who makes that watch? I'm waffling on my two-tone watch choice, deciding between a Cartier santos two-tone or tank solo on a black strap or skipping it altogether and just getting diamond earrings lol.

sorry for the highjack bread!
Thank you! The brand is called Laditte. I saw your other post as well, a good watch is a great choice! (Although I adore diamond earrings as equal:D)

Personally I'd say black strap really is elegant, but that two-tone watch also looks amazing!

I don't have a photo, but it is a Citizen watch, so not very expensive as far as diamond watches go (i don't think the tcw is a lot)...I'm not sure which model since I didn't ask and I'm normally not a watch person so really quite clueless. I'm also quite surprised at myself for not being able to get it out of my head. My only other watches are a seiko for everyday and a Baby-G for going to the gym/swimming.

I think I shall go to the mall again today with my son and look at that watch again :graucho:

Citizen makes great watches, I love their concept of solar energy watches! Try it on, and you'll know how you like it:smile1:

Actually, now i wonder if those are genuine diamonds at all. Does anyone know? Or perhaps they are synthetic/crystals? They are claw set, not glued on. I believe it might be one of the eco drive models but i'm not sure which exactly. I tried googling but cldnt find much info.

Hi BreadnGem, it says on Macys website that the diamonds are genuine. They also have models that have swarovski crystals and make the distinction between the two when they come up on the site. The ones that have diamonds, I can clearly see they are set like a diamond watch would be set. They have 36 models here...which one are you eyeing?

My parents gave my dh a Citizen eco drive watch when he became a citizen, lol. They thought they were so clever with that one lol. My dh loves the watch and it looks really nice on him. Dh gave me a citizen when we got married and I've since misplaced it but it was my first nice watch ever.

Carrie, your watch reminds me of the Cartier tortue whose name every time I read it looks like 'torture' lol. I had to watch my spelling there!

As for my dilemma of whether to get the santos two-tone or tank solo, I'm not solving it any time soon but I'm not due my present until May 2014, so I have plenty of time to mull it over! :giggles:

Thanks, Benchwarmers! I couldn't find the watch on the Macy's website but I think it is this one:
http://www.braithwaitesjewellery.co.uk/jewellery-detail.asp?pid=678&lbsrch=&range=3
(I'm not in the uk btw, this is just a photo I found online.

I'm just a bit confused cos when I asked about the watch the other day the lady SA told me they are diamonds but when I went back a different SA (a man this time) said they are crystals.

That is a pretty watch Bread...and I did a little research on the net and found similar styles but on ebay I found the identical watch in solid gold for starting bid 4k. There is no way I believe they made a similar style in SS in crystals. I would believe the female SA and the man I think is ill-informed or confused.

Here's the solid 18k version, they call it the Stiletto.

There are other watches similar to yours but with slightly different faces, this one is identical except for the metal composition.

then here's another that I'm guessing is not solid 18k, it's identical looking to the one above. When I did a search of stiletto, many different styles came up, so it's one of those things that requires a more exhaustive/thorough search. I feel confident that this is a diamond watch that you are interested in.

another solid gold one...

The crown is different on some of those gold watches.

Agg- Bulova makes very pretty watches. That watch has a nice combination of sportiness and femininity.

Thanks so much, Benchwarmer! Yes, the lady SA did seem more knowlegeable than the man. I think i shall make another trip this week to see if she's there before buying.

You are right, there are so many similar styles with different materials, hence i got confused just looking at the pictures online : p. The shop actually carries a few similar styles but with vastly different price tags and when i asked the male SA the reason for the hugh price difference he looked blank & just said: "Er...cos the design is different.". Needless to say i did not feel confident purchasing from him!

Btw, the model i am considering comes in two tone as well. Not solid yg but just gold plated. What do u ladies think? Which looks nicer? I already have a two tone watch (my seiko). Should i go for the all ss or does it look too plain?

I'd go for the all stainless. But then, I'm not a fan of two-tone watches!

I wear either a Michele with diamonds around the face or, lately, I've been wearing my Ebel Beluga with diamonds on either side of the face and diamond markers. It's not too dressy...I think you could wear your watch for any occasion, dressed up or down!

Carrie, your watch is beautiful! I love it! What brand is it?

Breadngem, I have a similar Citizen watch with Swarovski crystals. There are many models with diamonds as well. It's a lovely watch and I wear it all the time. I've had it for 10-years and it still looks new! Citizen watches are very reliable.

I have my watch on today, so I thought I'd share my crappy iphone pic. The model is 610577. It has Japanese movement. I want to say I paid around $100 for it, 10-years ago. It matches my wedding perfectly, so I just had to have it!

Thanks for posting this. Your watch looks great even after 10 years! A few yrs ago i bought a similar looking watch from another brand which i shall not mention and 2 yrs later the crystals started dropping off. It wasnt cheap too. I'm glad Citizen watches seem to hold up well.

I was shopping recently when a pretty little diamond watch caught my eye. I was tempted to buy it but didnt bcos i wasnt sure where i can wear it. The funny thing is, i dont think twice about wearing other types of diamond jewellery everyday, to the supermarket, etc, but i balk at wearing a diamond watch on a daily basis bcos i am worried it may look abit too much. But is it really? Or is it all in my mind?

So, those of you who own diamond watches, where do you wear them? Are you comfortable wearing them to go about your daily activities? Or do u keep them for special occasions only?

P.S. The watch i was looking at was not all diamond. It just had a row of diamonds around the face, on the outside of the case, if u know what i mean. There are no diamond markers.

Sounds similar to the watch I've worn daily for YEARS! It was the first piece of jewelry my husband bought me after we married, (almost 15 years ago) so I love it more because of that :)

Movado Esperanza w/ diamonds

I feel like it doesn't compete with my tennis bracelet or wedding set ;)
