I cannot sleep in my rings or Ill need my finger amputated. I swell badly.

I carry around a ring box in my purse, as well as a few tiffany's suede "pouches" for times when I need to remove them. They are all housed in separate pouches/boxes.

Usually when I get home from work, I take them off, and immediately clean them, dry them and inspect them. They then go into their individual boxes, next to my cell charger on my nightstand. They are with me in the bedroom at night. In the morning I get ready, reinspect them, and clean them again before I put them on.

I also now have a little cleaning kit that I brought to work for when I dunk them in my lunch.

honestly i never take it off i'm so scared i'll forget it even if its inside the house. it's happened a couple of times where i've left it in our bathroom and i get so nervous when i realize i didn't put it back on :s

I feel naked when I'm not wearing my rings. (Wedding and engagement ring) I only take them off when I'm cleaning, cooking and taking bath or shower. I like your giraffe though. It's cute! Lovely ring by the way.;)

I rarely take off any of my jewelry.

Well then I guess you dont have my problem! :p

I put mine in my jewelry armoire before I got to sleep. I like the ring holder, it's cute!

Thanks, that sounds safe, I have nothing like that!

I've been looking for a ring holder like that! I used to have one that's the shape of a cat with a long tail to put the rings on but i lost it!

My every day stuff including my promise ring sits in a vintage wedgwood white on blue jasperware pin tray on my dresser.. the more special stuff goes in the safe in the wardrobe! I sometimes do wear my rings to sleep though.. either i've passed out or it's a new ring that I don't wanna take off just yet ;)

Ohh the cat sounds cute too! I got mine from redenvelope.com, they had both the giraffe and elepant! I think I feel asleep with mine once too and it was hard to get off! I guess my fingers swell at night.

What a great idea. I keep my rings and earrings and all my jewelry for that matter in a jewelry box that sits on top of my dresser.

Maybe I should invest in a jewelry box.. I do have a couple necklaces, bracelets and rings.

I have a ring holder too, it's an antique glass hand similar to this (http://www.fishseddy.com/browse.cfm/4,2649.html) and I store my ring, watch, etc on it. Usually I take my rings off right before I go to wash my face and get ready for bed.

Ohhh I like that!!

I have a crystal vase on my night stand where I put my everyday jewelry before I sleep. Others are in the jewelry box inside our safe.

A vase....? Wouldnt hat be hard to retrieve them?
Safe eh? Must have some nice jewels :graucho:

I'm guilty of putting things where is convienent.. :sweatdrop:

My wedding band and diamond ring goes in a mirrored deco printed box on the coffee table the minute I get home; contents inside are: car keys, watch, rings, DHs' wallet.. most days the rings are on the coffee table. All my other jewellery is in a big jewellery box since I throw out all the original boxes (i can't stand how much room it takes up. designer or not, it's gone)

That sounds pretty, so you are another one that doesnt wear your rings at home huh?

I usually don't take if off until I'm going to bed and then I put it under my pillow  but I do like the ring holder

Under your pillow?! I would be scared it wouldnt be there when I woke up! I guess I move around alot, lol.

i have a ringholder like yours but it's a cat with a long upright tail for holding rings. i use a waterford heart shaped ring holder in my jewelry box for my wedding set.

I bet that cat oneis cute, any pics?

in a canister closet...

That works!

i wear my ring to bed. doesnt bother me to sleep with my rings on

What? You wear that massive thing to sleep!!!!

Yeah, I think I swell at night too! Thats a good idea about the pouches. You clean your jewerly alot! I thought I was bad! LOL I love how they look when they are just cleaned though, I cant help it. Any cleaner you noticed works the best?

This is so cute!! I have a very similar one in Elephant form :)

THanks, yes the elephant is cute too!! :smile1:

Thats the issue I was having! I would set it in the bathroom.. or on my dresser....or on my bedside table and I didnt know where it was! My heart would start beating fast and I would get scared! Now its nice, I know if its not on my hand, its on the giraffe. :D

Yup, that sounds like me! Thank you, I love the ring, although its a horrible shot of it! :p

I usually use Sparkle Sparkle Spray for Platinum and a bunch of brushes. It's the point positive experience that came out of my whiteflash mess since that's the company that originally supplied it to me though I buy direct from Nventa now.

There is something about that stuff, that "gunk" refuses to stick to the ring as well.

When I use the ultrasonic I use a mix of sudsing ammonia and mr. clean, and if I soak them I use the same solution of ammonia and mr clean in scalding hot water.

Anal-retentive and insane, but it's something I just accept about myself.

it stays on me... it doesnt bother me when i sleep... i get nervous when i dont have it on.

i've heard of too many stories where people have forgotten where they've placed their engagement rings; b/c they take it off and on their finger...

and if there's an emergency & i gotta go,
its on my finger already.

Oh Ill never forget. I am too anal-retentive. Mine are in their ring boxes in the pouch with the loupe and usually are with me in the bedroom. I have my purse and my rings with me all the time now.

I'm afraid to leave my ring on the bathroom counter, because I'm afraid it will fall in the sink. I'm also afraid to leave it on the nightstand because I'm afraid it will fall off and I won't be able to find it (living in CA there is always the possibility of an earthquake). Now that sounds a little paranoid now that I think about it. :shame: I used to work at a jewelry store and the owner told me the #1 way a ring is lost is at night when they take their ring off to go to sleep. :hrmm:

So needless to say, I always take my ring off when I get home and put it in a jewerly box. I know that it's safe and sound there. :amuse:

I sleep with my ring on, because my fiancé likes to hold my hand sometimes at night and I want him to feel my ring.

I keep its box on my nightstand and I have one of those Waterford crystal ring holders in the bathroom for when I shower, etc. The ring holder was actually a brilliant engagement gift. Other than that and boxing, I never take it off.
